I learned HD accepts competitor coupons, so I came into the store with a Lowe's 10% off coupon and had about $25 in items ready to purchase. The cashier would not accept the coupon. I was in the garden area so I decided I'd try using the coupon in the main area. So the garden cashier calls the main area as I was on my way to sort of "warn" them of me coming with the coupon. As I came to the check out, immediately the cashier that was phoned came running over and said they won't take my coupon. So for 10% off $25, HD just lost a lifetime customer who's spent thousands of dollars in the past.

The staff of Home Depot write the Standards of Customer Service. This is the summary of three different major experiences I have had at the store on Windward Parkway. The three events involved the purchase, and installation of two entry doors, and two glass GENNAIR top burners. My most recent experience involved a manufacturing defect of an entry door. It took no time for the management staff there, led by John Clemmons, the Store Manager, to make a swift decision to have the door examined, and a decision to have it replaced. His team, mainly two assistant managers, David Chatakian, Jennifer, and Roy Lenniger, in Mill Works, were very helpful in helping me get a full refund and order a new door. What impressed me the most was the fact that Home Depot stood by me, while the Manufacturer did not. In other words, HD takes the side of the customer over a vendor. I do not have good enough words to describe the professional and excellent customer service qualities of the staff at Windward Parkway Home Depot. Customers will never go wrong with Home Depot.

Store is always very clean and the sales people working the floor are very knowledgeable and helpful. I come here many times during my lunch hour when I don't have a lot of time to shop, and I have always been able to locate someone very quickly who can assist me.

NEVER buy a patio door from Home Depot, especially the Windward Parkway store in Alpharetta. We purchased one 3/27/07...its 6/22/07 NO DOOR. They require someone to come out to measure; it now appears our third MEASURED door will be ordered. The first two did not fit. POOR SERVICE; POOR SALESMAN; POOR FOLLOW-UP. Can't comment on quality yet..give me another six months and maybe the door will be installed!!!!!!
