On a major renovation of my steep front yard, The Landscape Group not only had the best quote, but also seemed the most interested and knowledgeable on how to proceed with the project. I let them design, build, and plant with only the instructions "build a wall and get rid of all the junipers because anything's better than we have now." My front yard went from an eyesore to one of the most beautiful in the neighborhood in 5 days flat and we could not be happier with the work as well as the cleanup and followup. I highly recommend them.

The Landscape Group was recommended to me by a co-worker. Our project consisted of some minor grading, a stamped concrete path, and several plantings. Neither my wife nor myself are familiar with many plants so we just described generally what we wanted to accomplish with our job. Frank listened to our goals and did the best job of balancing our budget against those goals for the 3 quotes that we received. Frank and his project manager were both very easy to work with, and we have been very happy with the results. The job lasted for ~8 days, and they did a very good job of cleaning up as the job was finished. They did cut our phone lines about 4 times during the job, but that will be fairly easy to fix. I would recommend The Landscape Group based on my experience.

Wife & I decided to finally rethink our (lack of a) yard. We first got a local landscape architect to develop a garden plan for us. Then we put the work out to bid. Got 3 bids for +$15k project, including one from Scapes. The first outfit to bid undershot the mark, seeming to price out a quick-in and quick-out effort (no soil amendment, stuff the plants in the ground and 'later'). The second outfit was The Landscape Group, whereby the owner/operator came by to see us, get a copy of our garden plan and really listened to what we wanted to do. His estimate was pretty much dead-on, apart from a few minor items that we changed/added. The third outfit was Scapes. They were very nice, but in the end overshot our budget and scope, not apparently spending the time to prepare a quality bid. We paid 50% up front and the rest upon completion of work. Frank's team spent a week at our house, the first 2-3 days preparing the soil and beds and the rest of the time planting & relocating existing plants. They did hit a line to one sprinkler zone, but promptly fixed it the next day. They also helped adjust our sprinkler heads for best coverage. Frank prepared the estimate, revised the estimate, oversaw most of the work and helped add the creative touches himself. His team was pretty good on the execution - but Frank is "the man" when it comes to plants, approach and design. We love our new garden - great new soil, great installation, nice stone accents and more.
