In a city eager to accommodate hoardes of tourists, yes, a restaurant has to be created to cater to those somehow. This is where Stinking Rose comes in. They have a great concept, kind of like Gilroy's Garlic World. Anything and everything garlic. That said, I do think some of their dishes are truly passable. I always order the pork chops when I'm there bringing out of town friends and we always have to end with their garlic ice cream. At the end of the night, your tastebuds are obliterated from everything garlic, and your friends will have a new story to bring home with them about this really funky garlic restaurant in San Francisco. It is a little pricey, but it does have its purposes.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. This place is well known in SF. The place gets packed and makes for a really fun environment. Can get a little noisy.
