Dr. Demarco arbitrarily and incorrectly increased my copay by 50% this year - on a plan that has not changed in 10 years! When I contacted the insurance company and provided proof to Dr. Demarco that the copay had not changed, Dr. Demarco sent my account into collections - for $10.00!!! When I contacted Dr. Demarco's office after collections, Torri said "Why not make it easy on yourself and just pay the $13.00?" Collections added the extra $3.00. My next step after this review is to lodge an official complaint with the AMA and copy the insurance company (maybe they will drop Dr. Demarco), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the collections agency and Dr. Demarco's office. And seeing that this has happened before in a review below - now I'm left wondering if someone in Dr. Demarco's office knows and is working with someone in the collection agency...it's the only thing that makes sense of Torri's comment and this situation. Afterall, what doctor puts anyone in collections over $10.00??? I would think most doctors value their clients far more than that! That is except for Dr. Demarco.

As patient of Dr DeMarco for over 10 years, it's been sad to see his staff go downhill over the past two. On my most recent visit, they were unable to explain a significant co-pay difference, then sent a rude collection notice to an address I haven't been at for years (even though they have sent me mail at the new address). Multiple calls over a period of two weeks and a letter to the staff and individual responsible for billing have gone unanswered, although they were exceptionally prompt in cashing the check. I like Dr DeMarco personally, but don't trust his staff anymore - they just can't seem to get their act together.

I am a long time patient of Dr Demarco, but I have fired him as my PCP. Dr Demarco, unfortunately, has allowed his staff to deteriorate, and he no longer has the quality support staff he once had. This has resulted in substandard medical care, botched referals, dirty examining rooms, insurance mistakes, etc. The loss of Yvonne, his nurse practitioner, was the beginning of the down hill slide of this office. This was followed by the loss of the entire medical support staff, including the office supervisor. The remaining clerical staff was unqualified, and the daily routine of Dr Demarco's office turned into a disorganized circus. Errors and mistakes became a daily happening, and the examining rooms became quite nasty and dirty. What was once an efficient professional medical practice is now a place to avoid, if you value your health. The last straw for me was when I went to an appointment and was seen by a female substitute doctor who was not familiar with me or any of Dr Demarco's patients. She admitted that she was called in at the last moment, in order to avoid having Dr Demarco's office closed for the day. Patients should have been called and given the option to reschedule appointments. The office telephone recording states that the office is open until 5 PM, however after 4:15, calls are switched to the answering service, and no calls are returned. In fact, no calls are ever returned. Sad to see Dr Demarco's office turn into a disorganized mess.

But it can't be helped. It seems whenever we need an appt due to illness, it takes 3 days to get in to see someone. We've gone round & round about our copay (they get a higher office copay...but they insist it's the one on the card), then send us to collections for the "unpaid" portion. It seems whenever we need a pre-existing problem "checked," he refers to a specialist...and not ones in our insurance network. He's a fine doctor, but I feel like he's trying to move away from primary care to procedures in GI. So we're moving to a "closer to home" and "in network" PRIMARY care physician. It just makes me sad.

I came to Dr Demarco from a practice I was totally unhappy with. Dr Demarco's staff was very helpful and caring and very efficient. Dr Demarco has a nurse practitioner, Yvonne, who works for him, and I found her to be a very professional caring young woman, who showed a patient and genuine interest in my medical issues. Dr Demarco performed a colonoscopy on me, and I was very pleased with the preparation from his staff. Dr Demarco is low key and takes time to explain things to his patients. The office is spotless, and the administrative staff is well organized and very courteous. A wonderful doctor, supported by a great staff. I cannot be more pleased that I found Dr Demarco.

Dr. Demarco takes a lot of time with his patients. He's very conservative and deliberate in his approach. For years, I couldn't settle on a personal doctor. Now I have. Great staff, too.

I have been seeing Dr DeMarco as my general practitioner for a number of years now and am happy with the service received. I have always found them to be efficient eg lab work results are always received within a few days, when I have needed referrals to specialists it has been an easy process. Good doctor, well organized office.

This doctor's office is easily accessible from S. Cobb Drive. In addition, the staff really appears to care about patients. They've worked me in with no appointment, but are honest when I need to come back instead of wait. I appreciate their professionalism and courtesy.
