Three Dollar Cafe is one of my favorite local eateries for a good lunch or dinner at reasonable prices. The food quality is good. They are famous for their wings, but other delicious menu items include their hamburgers, cheesesteaks, blackened grouper sandwich, and cuban (yummy). Service varies (sometimes great, sometimes less than great). They are truly a local favorite, so the waitstaff can occasionally be non-chalant about service, making it confusing for new customers who aren't familiar with how they operate, as the previous reviewer noted. There is generally a sign as you walk in indicating whether or not you can sit anywhere or they will seat you. Their location is convenient for me. The building itself is a bit of a dive, but the atmosphere is upbeat and fun. Overall a decent place to eat.

I visited Three Dollar Café in Sandy Springs, Atlanta, GA on May 8th 2011 to celebrate Mothers Day with my Mom and my Brother. We have been coming to this location since the 1990's about every other month. The food is always good at Three Dollar, and the service is too - but not on this occasion. We saw the waitress about once every 20 minutes. We ordered a combined two pitchers of Blue Moon, twenty wings, and one order of chili cheese fries with extra chili. We received the chili cheese fries with NO extra chili (we have ordered this more than 20 times in the past, so we knew there was not anything extra chili) and no plates to eat from (I had to find someone to get us plates because our waitress neglected to bring any). When the bill came, we were overcharged $7.00 on the Blue Moon pitchers, charged for the extra chili (which we ordered, but was NOT included when it arrived at our table), and charged for 30 wings instead of 20. The waitress corrected the bill, but then added an additional charge of .85 cents for bleu cheese because she brought out two by mistake (this was NOT on the original bill). We went ahead and paid our bill and then before leaving, I approached the manager and let her know my disappointment in the situation - Three Dollar Café screwed-up our order and then charged us for their mistake. They were all excuses and we left with a bad taste for this place.

first time we went the wings were amazing! The second time they were so-so, and the third time they gross. No sauce at all. The waitress explained that it was our fault for no asking for extra sauce. Every time we go there they take forever over 30 mins to get food on the table (table for 2). The last waitress was rude and was to interested in talking to the college guys. We had to ask another waitress where our waitress was and to tend to us.

We eat at The Three Dollar in Sandy Springs frequently and enjoy the experience every time. They're always friendly and prompt and the food is as advertised.

The wings are squash casserole is really good, but I hate how they charge extra for hot sauce on the side and dressing. The wings are already over priced and this should be included.

Service was a little unpredictable about 6 months ago, but recently it is as good as it was years ago when I first discovered them. Food is excellent, and the service is great. My family and I dine there at least once per week...

Long time loyal customer...since 1989. Best wings. I love the sqush casserole. Everthing I have ever ordered is great. I used to fly in from New Orleansjust to eat here...now I live here and go lots!

My wife and I love the wings - even the "plain" ones. BUT, sometimes the service is "good" (it has NEVER been GREAT) and sometimes it's as though the servers have totally forgotten you. The seafood pasta is also great.

I used to eat here 2-3 times a week 10 years ago. Since then, they've never lived up to how it used to be. Limited menu. Bland food unless you know you want beer and wings.

I really liked this place the first time, but it seems like the food is a little inconsistant. The boneless chicken was disappointing the second time around even though it rocked the first time. The prices are good if you catch them on a day when the food's good, otherwise it's a bit over priced.
