The communication system for this doctor is a nightmare. The doctor's office has a call center that has many other clients besides Woodstock Colonoscopy, and because the call center seems to be overbooked, it takes them forever to answer any calls. When you finally do get through, if you are a new patient and unfamiliar with any of the doctor names, they seem clueless as to how to direct your call. Then when you do get the office, it is again difficult to get something accomplished. They ask the same question, "What doctor are you wanting to schedule your colonoscopy with?" I don't have a preference! I don't know any of the doctors! I just need to schedule a colonoscopy!!!! Finally, they connect you to someone who does the scheduling. By the way, without giving them a doctor's name, they do not know who that person is that you should be talking to. The phone rings, and you guessed it--you get a recording saying, "Sorry I cannot answer your call at this time, but if you will leave your name, number and the nature of the call, someone will be getting back to you within 24 hours." Ugh!! The return call never takes place. I finally call back the main office the following day, and by some miracle they get me a live person on the phone. That person schedules my appointment. I think that everything is fine now. Nope! The prescription they were supposed to call in is not received at the pharmacy. Next, I cannot find out who to call and correct the situation.
They have not performed the colonoscopy yet. It is just days away and I do not have the prescription I am supposed to start consuming. I called the main office and again got a recording from a person that said they would get back to me within 24 hours. Folks, this colonoscopy may never happen; and if I reschedule, it will definitely not be with this firm.

Dr Trankina has provided me care for approximately 5 years now. I can say that without a doubt - Dr. Trankina is a trusted and thoughtful gastroenterologist. (I had some poor experiences with other offices...) I have recommended other family and friends to seek Dr. Trankina's care as well. Everyone loves him and his staff is thoughtful and caring as well.

Wonderful first screening colonoscopy experience. Everyone at Advanced Gastroenterology Group was so helpful and efficient. Paperwork delivered by email, prep meds called into pharmacy for pickup, all questions answered fully, and results delivered within the week. Excellent attention to detail and personalized care. Board-certified and experienced, Dr. Trankina instills great confidence and is genuinely kind. He and his staff exceeded all of my expectations--a rare delight. I recommend Dr. Trankina and his terrific team without reservation.

My first visit today. I liked Dr. Trankina so far. I walked in and stood there seemed like 5 minutes before the receptionist opened the sliding glass and I seen her sitting there through the glass the whole time. After I fill out my paper work I go back up with a question and stand again for 5 minutes seeing her sitting there the whole time again. She was very unfriendly and unproffecional. Another experiance like that with here and ill be finding me a new Dr. The rating im about to give is for Dr. Trankina only. The receptionist get 0 stars!

I would NOT recommend anyone going to Dr. Trankina's office. I did, and it was an all around bad experience. 1. He spent a large portion of my visit pushing a colonoscopy, despite it being completely unrelated to my symptoms and the reason for my visit. It's no doubt a lucrative part of his job. I would have appreciated a friendly reminder/warning, but this was a full blown sales pitch that seemed to never end. 2. I was referred to a lab for a celiac panel, but was given the wrong lab code. It took several phone calls to the doc office with both the insurance company and the lab trying to explain to them that I had been given a faulty code, before they gave the correct one. Through the whole process the lady I talked to was very persistent, unwilling to double check her info, short and unfriendly. 3. I know that I am ultimately responsible for my insurance covering my visit. However, I think it would be good customer service if the office personnel had verified my plan at the first visit. They only verified the insurance COMPANY, not the plan, copied the card and put it in their files. Had I known I wasn't covered, I would have gone to another provider and saved myself $140. 4. When asked if they would meet me half way with my bill, they refused. It would have been a nice gesture of good will and an acknowledgement of their mistakes/poor customer service. There wasn't even a simple apology offered. Wishing everyone good health and good doctors visits.

I have been seeing Dr. Trankina now for two years and he has made me feel very comfortable about my disease. I have Ulcerative Colitis now for three years and recently I had a colonoscopy. I didn't do well with the MoviPrep and called him after work hours. He calls back immediately to take care of my needs and gave me several options that I could take. He really cares about me. I'm not just a number to him. His staff have gotten to know me by name and greet me very professionally and in a friendly manner. Make your appointment with him today!

dr. trankina was probably the most professional physician i have ever dealt with. along with his expertise, he is so easy to talk to and he is most gracious at answering any and all questions in clear and understandable laymans terms. hopefully i will not need his services BUT, if needed i would not consider anyone else. he's the best.

I met Dr. Trankina when he was part of a group in Marietta years ago. Now, I'm fortunate to have him only four miles from my house. From day one I felt comfortable in his care. He has gotten he through many rough times as far as my reflux and subsequent barretts. I've always been able to get an appt within a reasonable time frame and his friendly staff has doesn't hesitate when I have an emergency. This group has gone above and beyond to accommodate me anytime I have called. Sharon, the office manager, is especially an angel. I recommend Dr. Trankina in a heart beat to anyone.

He's OK as doctors go, I guess. Didn't get to physically see the guy until I'm on a gurney, laying on my side, about to get some "sleepy time". The knock out stuff was WONDERFUL. I highly recommend the anesthesiologist for the best trip! Definitely a five star. Best sleep I had in months! The colonoscopy prep pills were wonderful...if you like the idea of a volcanic eruption rumbling in your stomach for 8 hours. Actually, this one can crank those colonoscopys in and out. I just wonder how he explained it to his parents. "Dad, mom, when I grow up I wanna dig around in peoples duodenums and anuses." "Sure, son, just don't tell your social studies teacher." UPDATE: Had to get a second colonoscopy recently. The doc's better the second time around. Highly recommended! I suggest the anesthesiologist go into business for himself. California has oxygen bars, why not anesthesia bars? Makes for a calm, quiet neighborhood.

Dr Trankina was great with two different hospital experiances. His assistant in the office was always freindly and knowledable. The receprionist will not go out of her way for you @ all. She is very rude. I changed Dr's becuase of her unfortunatley you have to go through her to get to the Dr.
