When I questioned Hugh about a heater issue unresolved since November- it is now April 1st- I was told to find another company to work with in a temperamental snit. We have had a relationship with this company for over 6 years, in which time we have been through 2 heaters (in itself an issue). When I asked about the problem, I was told he was not going to argue with me about it nor be talked to "that way." I had not spoken to him, merely left a message on his voicemail. Do not hire this company if you are not prepared to stroke a fragile ego. When we first contracted to have the pool constructed, it was in February 2010. We were told it would be completed in 6 weeks. We were finally able to open the pool on August 1st- 6 months later. Do not waste your time or money, or your summer, waiting around. Take his advice- find someone else!

The project with Tully Pools was a nightmare. We were ~10 months from obtaining a permit and the job wasn't complete. There were multiple portions of the pool that needed to be re-done because they weren't done properly in the first place or because they just looked bad to the naked eye. Based on various independent assessments, several of these items would never have occurred with any reputable pool builder. The owner easily lost his temper and didn't handle the issues were raised professionally. We did not get any serious response to fix or remedy the problems until we sent formal notice and hired an attorney. Very sad especially considering, at that point, we had paid almost 95% of all contract monies and the pool was still not complete. Since then, we hired another company to come in and fix the problems. Sadly, this company uncovered additional issues with the original construction and design of the pool that needed to be fixed. There are reputable pool companies in Atlanta that are competent, professional, and operate with integrity -- we highly recommend that you spend the additional money and go with one of them.

Many of the reviews for Hugh have been new pool owners. We have had our Hugh Tully pool for 10 years and it still looks awesome. Hugh told us his team took extra care during the process to ensure longevity. I am here to tell you that his comments have held true. Our plaster has held up beautifully. The coping and concrete decking still look superb. Hugh is a good man that is a pleasure to work with. Many years ago, we had an issue that Hugh could have easily charged us for. He covered the work and materials. I will never forget his gesture. It is a good reason why I am writing this review 10 years after our pool was completed. A great person to do business with.

Hugh was great to deal with. He provided a competitive bid that ended up being exactly what I paid, plus he had an eye for design that helped my wife and I envision the completed pool prior to digging. He communicated often, answered every question and was relentless in ensuring our satisfaction. The pool looks beautiful and my family has been enjoying it greatly since he completed the work in May (only 6 weeks from the initial dig). We could not be happier. Highest recommendation.

Tully Pools was recommended to us by several friends who had used them and were pleased. We decided to meet with Tully due to these strong recommendations. Tully was not the lowest price that we were quoted, but definitely an amazing value. The process was smooth and predictable. The company was responsive to our needs, our lifestyle and questions that we had before, during and after the process. No doubt, we would use them again in the future. Tully works hard to earn it's well deserved and excellent reputation.

You may get lower bids from other pool companies, but Hugh came in right on budget and delivered everything he promise. Others will tend to low-ball their bids. Hugh was there to supervise at all of the critical times to make sure everything was right. He has great contractors. He did some customization with our pool that others wouldn't have done. Also, it took a long time for us to decide on a design and placement of the pool. Hugh worked with us over a 3-4 month period until we got it right.

All I needed to say about Hugh can't be said in 250 words, so I'm continuing. (A picture truly is worth 1000 words - wish I could post mine.) During construction of our pool, Hugh changed the name of his company to "Hugh Tully Pools". I asked him why, and he responded by telling me that, in the pool business, builders come and go, oftentimes leaving the industry with blemishes on its reputation. Hugh decided to put his name and reputation "on the line" to show his pride in what he does and his personal intention to remain a leader in Atlanta's pool-building community. In my view, he's been absolutely successful with that approach. Just like Hawkes cut glass, a Martin, Taylor or Rickenbacker guitar, a Stradivarius violin or a Steinway piano, when you get a Hugh Tully Pool, you can rest assured you're getting a custom-crafted piece of art -- simply stated, you're getting the best. Construction can be stressful, and often the owner and builder part company on less than great terms. After months of Hugh and his team in our back yard, not only are we still on great terms, I consider him a personal friend. Since building our pool, we've had lots of folks at our house for various home servicing/maintenance work, and I can't tell you the number of times that we've been told -- even by folks who service Atlanta's "rich and famous" -- that ours is the most beautiful pool they've seen. We have Hugh Tully Pools to thank for that. Let him build yours as well!

It is easy to say a contractor is great when everything goes well, but much more revealing when you think they are great when things don't go as planned. We had several issues during and after construction of the pool (Complicated by simoultaneous house addition)but HUgh was and is responsive to calls about problems. Even "After the sale" he continues to be available for questions and assistance. As usual, for the most part you get what you pay for. Good job Hugh
Having Tully Pools build our pool has been a great experience. We built a disappearing edge pool and it was tricky to get it placed just perfect so it would work with the lake across from us. It turned out great! Tully Pools strives for excellence. I'd recommend Tully Pools to anyone considering building a pool. Hugh Tully is an honest man,and a man of integrity. His service is outstanding. Refreshing in this day considering other pool builders.
We are so pleased with our new pool, pool deck and patio from Tully Pools. Hugh and his team completely remodeled our old pool to make it a new showcase. This was the only company (out of 5 we interviewed) that had any "vision" and helped us come up with an integrated plan for the backyard, instead of just focusing on the pool. The stamped concrete they did is BEAUTIFUL and we were really impressed with the quality and level of knowledge of the contractor team. Hugh is very hands on and was always available and responsive to our needs. The project was completed quickly and within budget and everyone who comes to see our pool compliments it. We would highly recommend Tully Pools.
