This company is the most professional I have seen or heard of. They go out of their way to insure every step of the move is smooth, and their attention to detail is incredible. All involved were determined to make sure everyone was satisfied. Would highly recommend to any one. Karen Tooley

I should've followed my instincts based on the initial negative reviews I read about this company beforehand. I received good customer service on the front end. However, that went ALL downhill after pick up. The first red flag was my inventory list being left with what appeared to be chicken scratch by the on-site rep. Followed by dealing with the regional manager, Lisa who was by far the worse!!! Rude, abrasive, uncaring, unapologetic, and she gave me the run around for weeks on end. I gave them my items a week early to ensure an on time delivery to my destination which they initially told me takes 7-14 days. What they neglected to tell me was that my delivery date DID NOT BEGIN until 7-21 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER my arrival. I moved to a new state and didn't have a lick of furniture or proper clothes for 3 weeks. I called every other day for updates and my drop off day changed 4 times. The worse part was they sent an 18 wheeler truck to an area that does not allow parking/ off loading according to the city ordinance. Therefore, I had to pay an additional $350 for them to rent a smaller truck for a one bedroom apartment. I felt stuck and in a desperate situation. I highly recommend going with a different company and paying extra. This was truly the case of you get what you pay for and I'm telling everyone I know to steer clear of this unprofessional company. Lisa even denied given me the owner's email address so I could report her bad service. Thumbs down all the way!!!

THIEVES! BEWARE!!!! They held my belongings hostage after TRIPLING their quote once my belongings were on their truck! Over $6,000 for a cross-town move!!!! I'm still trying to sort out this nightmare. I don't know how these people can sleep at night! Hope KARMA bites them and good!!!

Said it would take 5 days to deliver...took 3.5 weeks. No communication, horrible customer service, no follow up on anything...they will lie to you in a minute. They damaged some items....2 mos later....still waiting on claim check. I will NEVER recommend this company or the owner.

Be ready for grief if you use this company. It took them 6 hour to move out of my 2br condo which had an elevator. They damaged furniture, scratched floors, dented walls. Zero customer service and claims department unresponsive. Been two months and still trying to get a real person to try to resolve claim. Bottom line, you'll be sorry if you go with this company.

We moved out of one house and had to have our goods held while we waited to close on another and the free storage for 30 days was one of the things that tipped our business in US-1 Van Lines' favor. We dealt with Tommy & David via phone in Miami, Ron was the foreman for the move out and Angel was for the delivery. Ron and his crew were among the most professional movers I've dealt with and I've dealt with many. Angel and his crew did a decent job as well but there was some communication issues on the day of the move in that could have been avoided. The only things that stopped me from giving 5 stars across the board were the following: * Quote was not fully inclusive of my move; only for the pack, load and loading into storage. Delivery not being included could have been much clearer. * Had a billing issue wanting to change payment and it took numerous calls to Miami office to clear up. For the rate per crew per hour and as well as they moved, I felt like the work was moving as fast as it could have moved. There was minimal breakage or loss that we can account for so far. I wouldn't hesitate to use again but would certainly insure that my entire moving situation's needs were encompassed in the full quote.

If there was one word to describe my experience with US 1 it would be Horrific!!! This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. When they pick up your furniture they are extremely professional but for delivery it's a whole other story. I was told it would take a week to get my items when it took 16 days instead. Instead of calling me and telling me they were running behind schedule I had to track down the driver myself. He told me he would call me the day before delivery instead called me at 6:30pm the day of saying he would be at my home at 8:30pm. I am a single female and told him I thought it was unsafe and unprofessional to which he yelled and hung up on me. When I called back he said that I needed to take my furniture then or have to pay the storage and redelivery fees. When he delivered my furniture at 9pm he refused to reassemble anything, threw my opened, busted and smashed boxes around, broke my dining room chair and left everything in the living room...bedroom set included. I had to call the police to make him finish taking my things off the truck after I complained. I had to file a police report because I felt threatened since this mover was screaming and spitting in my face. He refused to give me a manager name and number. And guess what? When I called to complain the following day they said that he was a good employee that had worked with the company for years! I paid this company over $1600 for an Interstate move for this treatment.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! This company is the worst moving company to deal with. I hate to say I was happy to see the other negative comments regarding this company. I have been dealing with US1 Van Lines for the past 8 months and have received no compensation from the damage they did to 2 of my homes. I have since sold one of the homes and the items they damaged were not repaired because they would not offer enough to cover the cost of repairs. They damaged walls, doors and floors. They also over charged us for the hours used for the movers. This company is dishonest and does not care about its customers. I have reported them to the BBB and attempted to contact the President and Principal of the company. Those 2 individuals only answer the BBB's letters and not customer letters. I have copied them on every letter that I have sent in for my claim and have yet to hear from either on their business practices. Another important note is that you can only contact the claims department by writing. No one will talk to you via phone at any time.

I would strongly suggest that Kudzu remove this company from the list of movers. They do not have the customers interest at heart. This company cares about one thing - money. They sent the wrong size truck on the day of the move and tried to charge us extra although they acknowleged that they were at fault. They placed a huge hole in the wall of the home that we had just sold that caused problems with the new owners; they damaged the wooden floors in our brand new home; broke two of our bedroom sets and office furniture. We called and called about the damages and no one returned our call. I wish we had gone with Netmovers.
