I love Ulta overall, this location has excellent selection of items and a friendly staff, ready to help. I see others write about Ulta at other locations and it upsets me that they write bad reviews here for other locations. This one is EXCELLENT. Just keep in mind the review is for this Ashford Dunwoody location when you write the review.

I went to this location yesterday and booked an appointment with Barbara after reading one of the reviews here. She knows her job well. She answered all my questions and gave out some suggestions for keeping the hair healthy. I am very much satisfied with the way my hair style turned out to be. She does not rush, and makes sure that the customer is happy. I will go back there again.

My favorite stylist at the Dunwoody Salon is Barbara. She treats me like I am her favorite client but I notice that she treats most of her clients that way, and that's okay. She cares about the condition of my hair as well as how good it looks when i leave the salon. I feel that she sees me as more than a salon ticket but a real person. I have been going to her for 3 years since i moved to Atlanta. I referred my sister and my mom and they love her too.

I frequent this store/salon because it's close to work. I used to get my hair done at least twice a month there. The salon staff was great! I also frequent the other stores as well and can say that the service is about the same each place except for the store in Duluth. I came into the salon to get my hair done and the young lady saw me but did not acknowledge me after I said hello. I sat down and got a few hairstyling books and waited almost 30 minutes before she said "oh..did you need some help?" I told her I wanted to get my hair done and she said they didn't have anything open until 3:30 and it was Noon when I got there. Waist of time! I called the Snellville location when I left there and they had an appt. available within 30 minutes. I went and loved the outcome. The price was high but my hair was beautiful. Delivette was my stylist.

I go to the Ulta salon in Snellville. Zhanna has been doing my hair for years; I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. Even though she has tons of clients, she makes me feel like I am the only person she has. It takes about 2.5 hours to color it (very long and thick), but she never rushes me. Her advice is always dead-on; you can tell she really enjoys what she does. I have never been disappointed with my hair, because of her.

I rarely complain about stores, but this has GOT to be the worst. No wonder it was empty when I was in there. I had a return and it took their incompetent staff over 30 minutes to get the info and even then, it wasn't done. Their employees seem more interested in standing around talking to each other, or not working at all. Their management was even rude. What a waste of time when you can buy the same products so many other places. IF you do go to ULTA go to the one in Buckhead, their staff seems to be trained and professional.

my wife is Korean and was given very very poor service from the Woodstock location. She has absolutely no accent as she was born and raised in the US, so there was no excuse for anything be the best service they could offer. She went to find some dermablend and asked for help and was pointed to the general area where it could be found. She was not taken to the proper shelf. As she was looking for someone to help her, she made eye contact with a number of employees but instead of coming over to help they turned and walked away. After 15 minutes of trying to get help she finally left without buying anything.

I went to the Snellville location for a haircut. It was my first visit ever to the salon. Zhanna was my stylist and I HIGHLY recommend. She gave me the best haircut I've ever had and the cost was actually less expensive than some of the other high class salons. She spent over an hour on my hair and showed me a lot of ways to style it.

I go to Ulta all the time to buy essentials - they have pretty good deals on those. HOWEVER, forget about getting a haircut there! I went in for a simple trim and ended up with steps instead of layers. You can clearly see where one "layer" begins and ends - it's hideous! Anyway, I will continue to go to their stores for shampoo, lipsticks, etc but NEVER again for a cut!

I went to Ulta a few months ago to get a trim to my layers and bangs. While I have long straight hair, it should not have taken the "stylist" 20 minutes to wash and comb out my hair. It then took her another hour to trim it, in which time she made it very uneven and one inch shorter than what we had agreed on. I was in the salon for almost an hour and a half, for a haircut that usually takes 30-40 minutes to cut and style. I left before she could style it because I was fuming with anger! I did get a refund, but spent the next month growing out my too short bangs and uneven layers. I would not recommend this salon or any ulta to anyone.
