This company is awful and rude. I have dealt w/ Jesse and glen mostly they do not do repairs they are requested to do. The kitchen had bugs before I moved in they were asked to get a company in there to spray. They did not so when I moved in and filled my cupboards there were bugs crawling all over. I received several notices from the HOA that they did not handle. I also notified them of termite tubes and they sent a company out there but did not fix it. I told them two separate times and now I'm moving and the stuff stored in the garage that I moved to my new place has termites.. boxes and furniture! SLUMLORDS! I want the repairs done and I want to make sure they handle it fairly. I also want to make sure they don't try to retaliate against me by taking all of my deposit as others have stated.

We just finished a long term lease with united metro. They had been hard to get a hold of and reach when needed, but thankfully we rarely needed them or their assistance. We left on very good terms and left the property in top shape - better than it was when we acquired it. Yet they went far out of their way to short our deposit refund by a couple of hundred dollars. They listed reasons that existed before we rented. We had the property professionally cleaned as well as the carpets but they charged a cleaning fee of nearly $100. They even charged $10 to remove the protective paper we had laid in the kitchen drawers to protect them from damage. The also charged us for trash in the city trash can that had not yet been picked up by the city... Wow. If you plan on renting with united - don't expect your deposit back!!!

Unfortunately, I'm leasing an apartment through UMP. I've had many issues with this company. However there are some positives. Pros: The least expensive place I could find. At least one helpful and kind employee. Cons: There were multiple errors in my lease when it was signed & not all of them were changed correctly. The apartment was not properly cleaned before move in date & there were many repairs needed. They still have only repaired half of what they agreed to. The leasing administrator and maintenance are rude & difficult to work with. There has been multiple pest problems. The complex property is not kept up. My advice: You get what you pay for. The trouble may be worth it if you need to save money. If you do lease from United Metro, don't expect everything to go smoothly. Most importantly, get a copy of your lease the day you sign it, do not wait until your move in date. Also, don't agree to have possible errors corrected on the lease after it is signed unless you have a copy of the original.
