I dropped off a blouse for me at University Cleaners that had a few water stains on it that needed to be removed. After thanksgiving break, I returned and picked up the blouse along with some other items. A few days later, I went to try the blouse on and realized that a part of it looked as if it had been shredded! The next morning I went back to the cleaners to discuss what had happened and inquire about possible reimbursement. The very sweet lady who works there tried to contact her boss, but could not reach him. She took my number and said she would call later. She then called saying that the blouse had been dropped off already damaged, which I know 100% is not true. I stopped in later after work, and she said they were not responsible for what happened to my blouse. I requested to speak to the owner and she reached him on the phone. Over the phone, I expressed to the owner that I was extremely upset about what happened to my blouse and that something should be done about it. The owner proceeded to scream at me and use phrases like "f*** you", "he did not care one bit about what happened to my shirt" and "it is not his problem". He then hung up on me. I am very offended by the way I was treated and dissapointed in the lack of customer service this place offered me (a long time customer).
