I went to VCA Briarcliff because they had an advertisement where your first visit was free. This was my first time taking my cat to the vet and they were wonderful! The vet and the vet tech made sure I understood everything. I'm a student, so I can't afford all of the tests and procedures recommended for my 10 year old cat. But, they walked me through and helped me choose the best course of action and they didn't make me feel bad that I couldn't afford everything. Also, they spent a good 45 minutes with my cat and I, which I liked. They took the time to pet him and play with him. You can tell they truly care about animals.

These people are amazing. They always recommend everying that my pet needs to stay healthy. It's very important to do the testing to catch things before they happen. After reading some of the other reviews, it's obvious that some of these people don't understand that. You get what you pay for. I have checked prices at other places and the costs for the exact same thing are about the same. As for the person who said "no insurance", that's not true! I would trust these people with any of my pets. The staff is awesome! The customer service there blows most businesses out of the water.

Good vets overall, extremely high prices. I have a senior pet with a recurring medical issue. I started going to Briarcliff last Fall. While the vets are generally good (some are more thorough than others), I could never leave Briarcliff in under an hour and without paying a min. of $200. Some of the vet techs could not explain what the recommended services were for. Felt like I was paying for something that was not really needed. Should have left a long time ago but when you're pet is sick, you trust your Vet to be honest and not stick it to you in the pocketbook. My last visit was 2 weeks ago and my pet did not improve with their recommended medicine treatment plan. I notified the vet and I felt like she tried to scare me into believing it was something more than it was. I took my pet to another vet for a second opinion and they suggested a different medicine, which resolved the issue. Not going back to Briarcliff. There are better vets out there.

Nice people but the prices are outrageous!! One vet that we saw was too quick to suggest various tests & medications which really add up quick dollar-wise & weren't needed. One visit with our 2 dogs for a general checkup, heartworm test, a couple of shots, fecal exam, heartworm (preventative) med and something called a "Sr Wellness Test" came to just over $600.00!! One dental visit for 1 dog cost over $500.00. Another visit for cleaning where one dog slightly tore a claw + meds was over $117.00. Too rich for our blood!

Excellent job caring for pets. Only negative is price. They sometimes forget this comes out of pocket (no insurance), so all the follow up and regular visits add up. Tough to say no when you have the emotions connected with your pet. But they do a great job.

The staff at Briarcliff love my 2 doggies and cat, they're always so friendly and personal with humans AND animals! They take great care of my animals and send reminders when they're due for shots and it's greatly appreciated.
