We went to Village Podiatry Center of Buford. We saw Doctor Vann Johnson. My son had in ingrown toenail and they were able to see me the same day I called. Doctor was very friendly, kind and understanding. He also did a wonderful job at explaining what he was doing and seemed very gifted at his job. Staff was welcoming and kind. Also appreciated I was taken in and done within the hour. Highly recommend.

What a bunch of incompetent idiots! I scheduled an appointment with their scheduling office which included giving them all of my personal information and insurance information. I tried to get an appointment at an office near me, but was told by the company scheduler that the closest office that takes my insurance was the St. Joseph's location. I HATE everything to do with that part of town (as any sane Atlantan does), but did not have much choice, so I set the appointment. Well, I took off work (and I am paid hourly and have no paid leave so missed time at work means no pay), spent almost an hour in Atlanta traffic to get to the office (which has, of course, pay parking) only to be told that they don't take my insurance. I would think they could have told me that when I confirmed my appointment the day before, but no, they aren't that considerate. They tried to get me to drive to another office even further away for an appointment, but why would I do that when obviously their scheduling department has no idea what insurance they take?! To top it off, the front office person got snippy with me when I tried to give her my paperwork when I arrived and I had not initialed that I agree with their privacy and financial policies. I had not marked those because they had not given me those policies. Pardon me for actually reading what I'm signing.

Dr. Mike Lauer at the Hiram/Dallas office suggested a "small nerve fiber" biopsy. He asked the office person to check with my insurance, (AETNA POSII)Was I purposely supposed to overhear this? I was told the in office procedure was covered. Pathology LAB of Ga. billed AETNA 2838.00 and I had to pay 630.00. The other lab billed 2000.00 and I am told there is 700.00 that AETNA has not payed. Above reasonable charges per AETNA. Out of net LAbs. **NO WARNING FROM DOCTOR OR STAFF** I accept some resp. as I should have had AETNA pre-determine benefits. Same has happened to others. Check reviews on INTERNET.

waited two mos. for Saturday Appt. at the Dunwoody location only to find out after I arrived that the office was closed. Contacted the after hours service and was told she would notify the office and have someone get back to me. Never heard anything. called the ofc after I came back from vacation the next week only to receive an apology for not being contacted prior to my appt. regarding the change in doctors and office hours. asked why no one contacted after the answering service left a message on my behalf, only to receive another apology. They were happy to make me another appointment which I kindly declined.

Went to Dr. Pierre in St. Mtn. the receptionist has the WORST attitude of any CS person I've encountered EVER. If you don't like people maybe you should get a different job. 4 times the attitude is worse every time. And their billing practices are like none I've ever had to deal with. Shady! The billing dept. is in another office, they lie and are just as rude. I had to pay up front and now that my insurance has paid I can't get my refund! Find another Dr. the front office staff is a waste in this office.

Never got calls returned; Extremely expensive for ingrown toe nail; never got test results; got billed 4 months later. Bad! I would NOT recommend any Doctor from the Village Podiatry Center.

I went to Village Podiatry in Hiram a few days ago for an ingrown toenail that I had. After a few minutes of waiting, I went to one of their rooms, where they quickly diagnosed my problem and treated it. The doctor and staff were great. I will definitely go back there for any of my foot problems.

I too have had problems with Village Podiatry Group in the greater Atlanta area. After seeing Dr. Mark Snyder for an ingrown toenail he recommended orthotic inserts for my shoes. I was given a paper to sign that said the maximum to be paid for the orthotic inserts would be $400.00. A person at the office called my insurance prior to the fitting and I was told that the orthotics would be covered by my insurance. I paid $240 out of pocket for the orthotics. The insurance was billed $950 for the orthotics and paid $212. That is $452 paid for the devices. (Note that custom orthotics are available for $150 a pair over the Internet) An entire year transpires and I hear nothing from Village Podiatry. Over a year after taking delivery of the orthotics Village Podiatry Group sends me bills for a "remaining balance of $200. I called several times over a period of months and even went to the office with a pile of papers twice to straighten this out. In the end Faith, the supervisor in billing, told me, I owed them the money, she could/would not explain how I owned it after being paid, some blabber about codes, then she said she did not like the tone of my voice, was turning me into collections and hung up. How is that for customer service? If you have a choice and are not fundamentally masochistic you would be better off to go somewhere else.

I was not really knocked over by the service I received there. The doctor might be a smart man but bedside manner he hasn't. The visit was rushed, when I asked questions he seemed frustrated, and when I questioned the need for surgery "within a week" for hammer toe he was put off by the question. His staff was good but I'm not sure I would let him cut my toe? I'll prob look for another doctor first.

This is for the office in Hiram, Ga. This is really not like me to complain. But so many things went bad on my last visit I just had to tell someone. First, the office waiting room was full. I got there 15 mins before my appointment. I waited for an hour and 15 mins before they called me. They didn't say a word about being sorry for my wait. My visit went good. Then coming out , and this was my follow up visit from three weeks earlier, they asked for another $20 copay. I told her this was a follow up, she said, I know...that's $20. I told her I have Tri care for my Secondary ins. and I shouldn't have to pay a co pay at all much less another one for a follow up. She just sat there and said, it will be $20 today. The visit with Dr. Laur went well enough, it was the staff , and it was most of them, that acted like I was in their world and things would go their way. I won't go back, and now, neither will my son, and two other families I have talked to. One family said the same thing I did. They do not like the unfriendly staff.

My bill was unbelievable and was sent to me a week after it was due. The doctor looked at my nails for five minutes and charged me more than my OBGYN would with lab tests. I will never go back. Another review said this practice was money hungry and I agree

After reading the reviews, the common theme is that this group of doctors are the best, and based on my experiences, they know about foot and ankle surgery then most other providers. However, as I have experienced in most doctor's offices, the staff deals with so many insurance issues and I experience this with everyone of my doctor offices. The reality is that if you need foot and ankle surgery or care, you won't find anyone better than Village Podiatry Group. The key to a good financial experience is to make sure you know your insurance benefits and make sure you give accurate and updated information to the doctor's office. I do agree that Dr. McGlamry is GREAT! My experience was great with Dr. McGlamry and I had absolutely no problems with the accounting department, because I made sure they had 100% accurate insurance information prior to seeing the doctor. I hope this helps! A very satisfied patient!!

Horrible Finance & Accounting Offices and Horrible Customer Service. Doctor's are great but the corporation that employs them leaves much to be desired. This is a money hungry corporation that does not honor insurance contracts between their customer, the health industry and leaves the customer with exhorbant costs above insurance contract. I would not recommend this corporation for health care.

In Aug.06 Dr.Mike McGlamry performed some serious sugery on my right foot, envolving removing bone from my hip to put in my foot.Dr. McGlamry comes from a family of distinguished Podiatrists-his Dad was one of the most nationally recognized foot doctors in the country. He is very thorough-never wanting to take any chances moving too quickly with recovery & was always quite patient in explaining all procedures performed. He prescribed therapy for me using the cutting edge Exogen Bone Healing System, which allowed me to heal 38% faster than without it. It uses low-intensity ultra-sound to help heal the tissues surrounding the bone. This really made a great difference and my foot is doing wonderful. You can have complete confidence in using Village Podiatry Group-especially Dr. McGlamry.
