They charge a diagnostic fee if you upgrade any components yourself. Can't figure out what's actually wrong with your computer. I finally identified the defective component and replaced it fixing ALL the problems but they won't do anything about the diagnostic fee and my cost in getting the properly working component (motherboard).

I was a fan, but we continually had issues with our Vision Computers. I purchased 4 computers from Vision over 5 years. We kept having problems with the hard drives. We also had issues with their "managed services". However their rude and incompetent tech support is what drove me away. I now have a Dell and use a local company for tech support that cares about their customers.

As the owner of a growing small business, I recently purchased my fourth computer this year from Vision (and have purchased 4 others in recent years). Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience and will never do business here again. The $2500 laptop came with the wrong specs (and was not as requested or promised). Unfortunately, Vision would not acknowledge its errors, nor would it accept a return. I faced the choice of either being saddled with a machine I didn't want (for $2500) or after much hard-nosed negoatiation, returning it by accepting a 15% restocking fee and eating over $130 in data transfer charges. I chose the latter and am now out over $350 with no laptop to show for it. In this process, the Vision staff blatantly misrepresented the facts of the situation and communicated zero interest in retaining a long-standing customer with potential to buy an increasing number of machines. This incident came on the heals of an attempt to have another laptop repaired while under warranty. On five separate occassions, Raul promised to send the packaging required to ship my laptop to Lenovo for repairs. He never did so and the computer is no longer under warranty. I will gladly take my business elsewhere and encourage others to do so as well.

I bought a computer for my mother last summer at Vision including the tech support. Every time we have called them, you cannot understand 90% of what they say. They have no patience with little computer savvy. Then they just tell you to send them the computer so they can take a look at it in their office. It's funny how the sales people all speak clear English, but the Tech department all have heavy accents. The computer is good quality, but the service is extremely poor.

My first Vision Computer system lasted five years without incident. When it finally gave me a problem it was time to upgrade so I just took delivery on my second CPU. This time when I got it home it wouldn't open Windows and I had to bring it back for service. With five years' good will this one glitch can be forgiven. It took over three hours but the man who assisted me was a total professional. Knowledgeable, quick and all business. I was very impressed. This time I had to get tech support to help me get my old printer to work, and the tech support was also excellent. I was led patiently through the steps, not chewed out for being stupid, and treated with true respect. And the phone guy said all the tech support people live in Atlanta. Now that's a real selling point with me.

I had a problem with these guys years ago, shortly before Kudzu came along. My Vision PC kept crashing intermittently. I'd take it in to Vision each time for repair only to be told that no hardware problem was found and that I (the customer) must be doing something to cause the problem. Vision reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled the OS. This kept happening time and time again. Finally, Vision determined that the motherboard was bad, but this determination was made a few weeks after the 1-year parts and labor warranty expired, so vision wanted to charge me around $100 for a new motherboard. Vision insisted that the previous problem (within the warranty period) was a separate issue (although they could not identify this mysterious separate issue.) Vision pays big bucks to advertise on local radio stations. The radio personalities are being paid to tell you how good Vision is. Do yourself a favor and igore the ads.

I had been building my own PCs over the years for my video editing business, moving on to Dell and Gateway as my needs increased and hands-on time needed to decrease, and never had a problem. 3 years with Vision on a custom built platform and I have lost 2 to 3 weeks of productivity each year with them (of course, at the worst time possible). See, you need to drop off the PC for them to figure out - a) The problem and fix it, and b) take a full week to figure out how it is not covered by your warranty, unless you shell out major bucks for their premium service. Basic phone service comes from India during banking hours and no help for any problems I've ever had. Maybe I just got a lemon but am currently reviewing my next non-Vision PC, as the damn thing is acting up again almost exactly one year after I last brought it in for, as usual, a completely new problem.

Bottom line is these are great computers. Built to your specifications, for your needs. Very easy to add or subtracked modules later. I only delt with the service department when I picked up the computer. The service was average. I have not had a problem with the computer which I baught it 2 1/2 years ago. I will return for my future computer needs.

Worst treatment I ever expected as a first time customer. They wiped out my hard drive after keeping my computer for several weeks. Their goal seems to be to charge you for no service and push you into a new computer. Every call to inquire about problems with my computer resulted in a defensive attitude. When I picked up my computer, a customer that had bought one there and had it serviced under their warranty was saying how he hated this f'''''g place. I now know why. I had planned to buy a new computer and was checking out the service before I buy one. Thanks to them showing their true colors I will tell 60 people a day to stay away, far far away. I'm also searching for a desktop and a laptop.
