The good: I emailed Jeff with questions about my lawn which was in bad shape. He was very helpful with advice on how to revive my lawn. So I started the mowing service with him. The not so good: The first time, he forgot to blow the grass and dirt from my patio, so when I opened the basement door, it immediately was in my basement. So I emailed him about it, which he never forgot again. The next time, after he mowed, he left some paper item all cut up on my lawn. Again I emailed him pointing out that his service specifically includes litter pickup. Then two termite bait traps were damaged by the mower, and the only hill of my lawn was getting scalped clean of grass by his mower. I emailed him about this, but I received no response. The Bad: Later, I watched him, and he mowed right over the hill without stopping and I could hear the mower hit dirt. And, for some reason, that time, the entire lawn was cut uneven as if the blade was crooked. I have never seen such a bad cut. There were many paths I could follow where one side of the cut was deep into the grass, while the other side was barely cut. I worry that the deep cuts may have damaged the lawn, and since the other side was barely cut, the next cut will probably damage that side. Pics follow. So he seems to know what to do, but speed seems more important than quality. After I dropped his service, he has charged full price for the last cut even though I complained about the poor quality.

We hired Crabapple after one of the other huge lawn services was not treating our lawn and still charging us. I liked the fact I could talk to one person and not a different one each time at the big company. We had them kill the bermuda in our backyard and reseed fescue. At first the seed did not take. I called and Forrest came out and laid seed in the bare spots. After this did not work they actually came out again a few weeks later and re aerated and reseeded. The lawn is looking much better and I am a happy customer. Try getting that service with one of big lawn companies!!

Our experience with Crabapple has been great. I received a quick and efficient quote to begin service within less than a week. The other quotes took weeks or expected me to do the work for them. Crabapple has listened to our concerns about our lawn and responded with excellent suggestions and has preemptively taken care of issues without any requests. They are always on time with accordance to theit contract. We moved into a new house with a lawn in poor condition last year, and many neighbors have commented how much better our yard looks this year. We liked their service so much that when our mother decided to use a lawn company we did not hesitate to recommend Crabapple.

Could not ask for better people to take care of your property. Completes yard maintenance as agreed and often goes beyond the contract. Received expert advice on right flowers, shrubs and trees to plant for type of yard I have. Very happy with work that has been done and will continue to seek their advice and assistance for future plans I have for additional landscaping of my yard.

I had to constantly call this company to make sure they are going to show up and cut my lawn. Also, they tried billing me for 4 cuts when they only cut my lawn 3 X's. I would spend more time calling and e-mailing this company then it would take to cut my lawn myself. I finally went out and purchased my own mower and now do it myself.

This customer was scheduled for service every Friday as he requested. During the summer months we service residential properties from 7 am to 8 pm. Ever Friday this homeowner would call about 4:00 to see if we were coming. Every Friday we were scheduled to come each time he called and we did service the property. Even if this homeowner did not call it was on our schedule and we would have serviced the property. This homeowner would call on Fridays when it was raining heavily. Our service is a weekly service however if it rains for more than 2 days we skip the property until the following week. We invoice the same amount for the entire month. Our service agreement that this homeowner signed explains this and common sense would tell you that if we skip the yard because of rain it takes twice as much work to mow the lawn when it has not been mowed in two weeks. Also, if it rains for three days and the yard is over grown we do not charge any additional fees other than our monthly amount. We provide a honest and very reliable service and have many customers that we explain this.
