The greatness of a pediatrician, according to my wife, is how much she feels like a mother (or a father if he is male). Knowledge, accuracy of diagnosis, attention to details - all these are possessed by many pediatricians, not only Dr. Wardell. What makes her great is her experience as a mom and the power to decipher what exactly is going on (or not). After prescribing an antibiotic for an ear infection, we chatted for some time. We told her that we are leaving for a long flight tomorrow. She immediately asked for the prescription, threw it away and wrote another. Why, we asked. This one is just good enough, but does not need refrigeration - that is Dr. Wardell for us!
