Last january i took a couple of friends that wr visiting LA and the tour took about 3 hours. We got to ride in the carts all around the studio premises, sets, and locations. Even if we didnt get to see any shows due to the strike that was going on. We had a blast and got a good discount of the price due to that. Definitely a must see for tourists in hollywood

The oversized golf carts take you around w/a tour guide to show you the massive studio lot. Of course, your cameras are locked away, unfortunately, for a good bit of the tour; "celebrities don't want to be bothered while they're filming", etc, etc. I teased our tour guide and told him I'd point out the famous people; since he told us he's not allowed to do so; again, "celebrities don't want to be bothered," etc, etc. He was horrified; until I promised to pointed them out quietly to everyone's amusement, even his; and didn't cause any trouble to him or to myself too. LOL, whenever a famous actress almost ran into the golf cart! HOW could she NOT SEE the golf cart?! It was huge! Everyone recognized her after I whispered to them who it was; and they LOL that she almost ran into us too. No, I won't say her name, sorry. If you like the history and are curious about films, this tour will be fascinating to you. I think it's fun to see where some of my favorite movies and TV shows were filmed and the history behind the studio too. A must see for anyone, just book early; so that you'll be able to take the tour. Our first tour time was changed; so we were fortunate enough to have our second choice come through for us. I like the nostalgia of it all too, curious and fun; definitely!
