NOT thrilled with their "funds availability" policy -- why does it take 10 days for a local check to clear, and why should it be different if I deposit via ATM, rather than in person? My other bank doesn't hold it this long. I can't even transfer the $$ to my savings account with WAMU! Just transferred over $20K to them, and they won't release this $1K. Admittedly, this is in their policy, and I should've read it. Just didn't expect this! May not be staying with WAMU. ***Follow up*** They have this restriction, in their funds availability policy that, if you put in over $5K a day, they put a hold on your money. So I would expect, if I put in $5100, to have a hold on $100 and the $5000 available -- but NO! They put a hold on $5000, and make the $100 available! Although I just switched to WAMU, I think I'm going to have to find another local bank with good interest rates.

The employees at Washington Mutual are very friendly and willing to help. They do not make you feel rushed and if they don't know the answer to your question, they will take the time to find the answer.
