John did a total landscape/hardscape plan for us in 2007. It was expensive, and the solution was not complete (we added a lot to complete the design). John did not stand behind the installation at all - telling us that he was not in business anymore when we called with issues. But the worst thing was that he installed 50% of our irrigation system over the property line; this week (2011) I have had to completely dig it up, reinstall and re-landscape my neighbor's yard. In some instances, it looks like John went out of his way to put the system on their property (our property is clearly marked with pins and an retaining wall). VERY disappointing.

Yes, they did the work, and yes, it was done on time. However, the bill was almost 50% more than expected. Without any warning. I'm still processing what I paid them everytime I pull in my driveway.

After interviewing four other landscapers, I knew that John would be the perfect man for our backyard renovation. Three things that impressed me were: 1. His ability to draw likes/dislikes from our conversations and implement into the project. 2. His vast knowledge about plants. 3. The fact that he did not propose a project that exceeded our budget. In fact, the right answer for our situation was 10% less than the budget we gave him. His crew was very professional while on site.

The Aquascape Water Garden/Pond cleaning service performed was beyond our expectations. The service was price correctly and finished in a timely manner. We highly recommend this company for all your Water Garden and Pond projects.

When I first started I had thoughts of just getting grass in my front yard. While it was more expensive than just grass the finished product was well worth it. Water, Color and Stone gave me small tips that went along way. The installation was very thorough and done in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend Water, Color and Stone to any individuals looking to improve their front/backyard and/or curb appeal. Thanks!

John Kenna and his team did a wonderful job on our pondless waterfall. While it had some challenges creating this for our backyard (we live in an intown community so the dirt was filled with glass, rocks, and other debris) they took their time and resolved any issues we encountered. I think I am most impressed with the dedication that John and his team showed to our project. I would recommend Water, Color, and Stone to those wanting a creative water solution at a reasonable rate.

We had no idea what a backyard waterfall and pond would involve. We just knew the backyard needed a great deal of help. Enter John Kenna and his band of merry men. They designed and built the water feature that we described to him just from our imagination and it came out as we envisioned it. The building of our water garden was an adventure for both him and us, but in the end it simply materialized. John and his crew were very patient with us, answered all our questions and in the end we had what we wanted, plus I've now got fish!!! (what to do with them is a story for another time.)

John and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with. We interviewed several companies for our mid-size project, and John had by far the best vision, and more imortanty - personality. He is great to work with, particularly so with uninitiated wannabe landscapers like myself. He made extra effort to help us understand the fundamentals of his plan and how his vision fit together. He was very accessible, was responsive to our desires and kept everything within our budget. Now that our project is complete, we have received countless compliments, and we're excited about moving forward with some of the ideas John left us with that we can complete ourselves! Would recommend Water Color & Stone to anyone looking for personal attention and great vision in implementing a truly unique ladscape design!

John Kenna and his team took an ugly mudpit of a city backyard and turned it into a garden paradise! They installed a beautifully designed pond, meandering stream and waterfall. The waterfall provides a calming peaceful sanctuary, and allows the listener to tune out the city noise. The birds now come to say hello and splash in the stream. I would recommend using Water, Color, Stone again and again. Thank you John Kenna and team for a professional job that was beyond our wildest expectations! Rating: 10 out of 10.

John Kenna of Water, Color & Stone is a landscape artist who knows plants and has a keen eye for spacing, texture, and color. John built a wall that defines space and adds practical seating for those who visit. The wall and patio work together to add significant beauty to my home. John uses organic forms and makes their presence seem inevitable and appropriate. He built a waterfall in what was a flat space, and there is now variety and interest with little upkeep required. The sound of water is a great source of relaxation. Kenna is a joy to work with, and I highly recommend him.
