Due to hurricane Harvey, we have to get a new AC unit so I thought of Weeks Service in League City, Texas because you see their trucks all over the place. So I called and got a quote. Then I researched the brand, Daikin, and got quote from another company. The quote was for exactly all the same brand, parts, etc. Weeks offered 5 year parts and 1 year labor .They said I could purchase an "extended warranty" for $945 so it would make it 12 years parts and 12 years labor BUT to keep the warranty, I must have them service the unit once a year (guessing around $100 every year).. When the other company gave me their quote for the same brand, etc. everything was identical except... the AC comes with a manufacturer 12 year parts and labor warranty no matter who you purchase it from! So Weeks Service was planning on ripping us off, just out right cheat us!!! Just think if I did not purchase the "extended warranty," for 11 years I would have to pay their labor AND for 7 years I would have to pay for the parts at their marked up price. They would get reimbursed from the manufacturer for both the parts (discounted cost) and labor so they would be more than paid twice for the parts (7 yes) and labor (11 yrs). I would also have to pay roughly $100 per year for 11 years for them to service my unit for the warranty to be valid. My question to Weeks, "How do you sleep at night by screwing over your home town customers?" It pays to shop and learn!
Just got a quote and compared.

Weeks is a good company to have come out. My A/C broke and they came out the same day and got it fixed. It was a minor problem of some kind. The service man did some extra cleaning and things that needed to be done as well. They aren't the cheapest, but when I've used the cheapest it typically cost more in the end and didn't get things fixed. I'll always call Weeks from now on.

I had a perfectly cooling and heating system but wanted to have the condenser cleaned and due any necessary lubrication, drain line cleaning, etc type items performed for $135. The two technicians destroyed the performance of my system and created a leak in the evaporator. One day after their service neither unit will cool. I should have been watching them every minute. Do not use Weeks Service Company.

They make these claims about giving you a free heater or replacing your unit but then when you have a problem you get nothing but excuses. Their bids are routinely 2000 dollars more than other reputable companies in the area. Don't be fooled by their slick promises. They don;t follow through.
