The primary focus for receiving treatment by Mary Cook (Wellpoint Physical Therapy and Acupuncture) was to try acupuncture to reduce the occurance of my severe, chronic migraines. We have achieved great success in a relatively short time. My migraines have reduced in frequency from one, or more, a week to one, or none, per month! That said, Mary treats the whole person not just one problem. So a wonderful by product has been reduction in lower back disc and sciatic discomfort (not to mention better posture). Mary uses a combination of PT and acupuncture. She is careful, empathetic and intelligent. While her practice is, in the most positive way, alternative it does not lack for professionalism. I look forward to my appointments and the results!

Mary Cook performed acupuncture on a problem I had that had been lingering for months. I burned my lip and had a blood blister that would not heal. Mary performed acupuncture on me and the blister was visibly being reduced as I was sitting there! It was AMAZING! Within one week, it was completely gone! I was so impressed that I went back for appetite suppression acupuncture. Again I was amazed that I was not hungry all day and when I did eat, it wasn't as much as I was used to. I lost 8 lbs in 6 weeks. Mary is professional, compassionate and accommodating, but most of all she knows her stuff!!!

Several times in the past I have been encouraged to try acupuncture, but I have been too skeptical. I am in the healthcare field and since I practice Western Medicine, I have never jumped at the opportunity to try treatments that I cannot explain myself. I met Mary and she encouraged me to give acupuncture a chance. She has a warm, healing way about her so I thought it couldn't hurt to at least give it one try. Needless to say I have been seeing her weekly now for several months and I am amazed at how well I feel after each treatment! No words can describe how thankful I am to have met her. She listens to my symptoms and concerns, and is thorough in her treatments. She is professional, yet compassionate. Mary has been in the field for many years, and her experience shows. She is knowledgeable and able to treat a multitude of ailments. You would be a fool not to contact her and see if she can improve your quality of life.

In short, Mary Cook is an amazing acupuncturist and gifted healer. Mary has been treating me for back pain and I leave each session in remarkably better condition. She is compassionate, attentive and intuitive in her work. She is genuinly concerned about your health and well being. She walks you through the entire procedure, explains everything she does and why and makes sure you are very comfortable. She is the best...hands down.

If you want undivided attention, a highly-personalized treatment plan, a practitioner who cares deeply about your health & who displays warmth, sensitivity & compassion, you are looking for Mary Cook. I had a serious ankle injury and, in far less time than my doctor expected, I am nearly to full function. I came to Mary scared and frustrated & she immediately put me at ease. She checks up with me between sessions, takes my calls when I have extra questions, sends me reminders about my home exercises and actually makes our PT/acupuncture sessions a lot of fun. I recommend Mary Cook for PT and acupuncture without any hesitation!

I injured my ankle 19 months ago and had an uncommon "sinus tarsi syndrome". I had seen several orthopedic doctors and tried all sorts of treatments (including other physical therapy, cortisone injections, stabilizing boots, orthotics ...) to no avail. I was planning on having surgery but decided to try acupuncture as a last hope. Mary spent a lot of time feeling all around my ankle and trying to figure out exactly what was going on (nobody else did this to nearly the same extent). She really wanted to help me and was determined to solve the "puzzle". She used a combination of several treatments and patiently felt around my ankle until she found a couple of spots that were not moving quite as well as they should and voila ... I am finally able to begin running again after 19 months!

After years of feeling horrible after eating wheat - even soy sauce. I decided to stop eating wheat completely so I would not feel achey and tired and headachy so much. Then I found out that among other things Mary is trained in a style of acupuncture that deals with clearing allergies. After just one clearing with wheat, I can now eat wheat whenever I want with NO ill effects!! My life is so different now - no more asking about everything before I eat it, and being able to share pizza or baked goods with friends is wonderful! Thank you so much Mary! If you have allergies that are limiting your life - I would highly recommend working with this knowledgeable and kind acupuncturist!

Mary Cook is a gifted healer. Recently, Mary used acupunture to drastically improve the severe symptoms I suffer during the allergy season. Not only can I can breathe indoors without complication, I am optimistic that she will continue to help my body overcome excessive exposure to outside allergens as well. A year ago, Mary patiently worked with me as I tried to avoid surgery related to a sports hernia. The physical therapy and acupuncture treatments were a resounding success. At the end of my therapy, my doctor determined that surgery was no longer necessary.Mary is extremely knowledgeable of the human body, and I trust her judgment when discussing options. I highly recommend a consultation with Mary before agreeing to surgery or taking strong pharmaceuticals for allergies. There are options, and Mary has the ability to educate and help in making such difficult life choices. When seeking the care of a true healer, no professional can compare to Mary Cook.

In December 2006, I woke up with the worst pain shooting through my back and down my leg - sciatica. I went to two orthopedic surgeons, ate countless anti-inflamatories to no avail. The pain started from the time I woke up, to the time I fell asleep. With Mary's help through acupuncture and physical therapy, I am pain free. I can't thank her enough for giving me quality of life back.

Mary Cook started out as my physical therapist four years ago. I had broken my foot and had severe back pain from the break. Mary helped me eliminate that pain within three months. Since then, I've been seeing Mary for combined physical therapy and acupuncture treatments for my arthritis, fatigue, menopausal issues, stress and to help me stop smoking. Mary is patient and honest with me, and is able to make accurate assessments of my condition and develop appropriate treatments for me. She is there with me for support and considers me as a whole person, not just as a collection of my symptoms. She is the utmost professional, optimistic and realistic about setting treatment goals and measuring our successes together. I highly recommend Mary for anyone who is looking for serious solutions for their medical problems and not just another doctor.

I am so excited and relieved to find Wellpoint Physical Therapy. After (18) months of pain pills, cortisone shots, and many other types of therapies Mary's treatment of acupuncture, physical therapy and muscle relaxation therapies are providing wonderful relief. After only a few sessions I am much better. I am taking only a fraction of the pain meds that were formerly an everyday routine and I'm getting better every week. Mary is professional and so pleasant and enjoyable to work with.
