My checking acct has always been in good standing & I had a positve bal of over $700 when they did this. Instead of applying the direct deposit made before 2pm first then deducting my debits for that day, they deducted them first to where everything overdrafted, then applied my direct deposit last. They overdrafted my account so they could charge me over $300 in NSF fees..and did! $35 a pop. Someone trustworthy & customer friendly would have applied my deposit (again made before 2pm) first then deducted. It left me w/ $20.21!! I called crying to the C/S rep explaining to the lady that I'm a single Mom and needed that money for groceries for my lil ones. She REFUSED to work w/ me or even allow me to pay it out of my next direct deposit in 4 days! She was very cold, rude, quite condescending, repeating "We dont work that way, I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do"! They DO NOT care about their customers AT ALL!! I no longer trust my bank & that's sad! My parents have banked there 35 years w/ mortgage, credit lines & checking. Because of how I was treated, they are switching, and as the other review said, the didn't seem to care a bit about losing 2 customers & accounts, including a loyal customer of 35 years! Beware if you go with Wachovia!

I am recently new to banking with Wachovia, but I have never been in any financial center where the employees were so friendly and courtsey. I really enjoy banking at this location, everyone seems like they are happy to assist in my everyday financial needs. I appreciate this kind of service very much! Thank you!

I had Wachovia banking for 6 years. The service was OK so I stuck with them as I didn't ask anything special of them. However, I received a couple of incorrect transactions on my account. This is when I learned of the not so stellar service of Wachovia. The process was very difficult and it seemed everyone we worked with didn't even care. Even when we canceled our account with them the representative didn't even care. I doubt I will be going back to Wachovia for banking services.
