They are not customer service orientated except to get your money in their greedy hands. I recently ordered a used Bassoon from them on 4/1/15 - when I got it on 4/2/15 (I paid for overnight shipping) it was not playable and had several key issues. I made Steve Slater, who was my salesperson on 4/2/15, aware of the issue and told him that I would be returning the bassoon which I did with UPS on 4/6/15, two day shipping. When I asked when my money was going to be returned - I was told it would take in excess of over two weeks! This might be their normal policy - which they NEVER made me aware beforehand - however, I was directed to their website where it was conveniently hidden. By selling a defective bassoon and not returning my money immediately is absurd - this is not good business practices nor good consumer relations - I will never buy nor recommend any of my fellow musicians to purchase from Wichita Band Instruments.

I've done business at Wichita Band on and off for many years. I got a really good deal on a vintage music instrument. Sheet music is not well stocked. Repair service is okay.
