I am a first time mother and looked at several centers before choosing Winston Academy. I could not be happier! I am greeted every morning by smiling faces and welcoming teachers and staff. It is very hard for me to leave my child, but I do not worry about her care while I am away. I would highly recommend Winston Academy to anyone in the area. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. The family feel there is priceless.

I worked for Winston Academy for almost 4yrs. The owner found me when I was working for someone eles and offered me more more. Who wouldn't take that deal. I wish I had stayed where I was. I gave her excellent service each year and each year my pay was decreased. The last straw was when she hired her daughters best friend to take my place in the GA Prek program. If she had told me that is what she wanted to do, I would have found something elese to do. I have a family to support. I see how she has treated her employee while working there I knew it was a matter of time before she would turn on me. I took bad checks from her all summer long. I even went 2 weekends in a row without pay. Then Angie has the nerve to take money out of my pay check when I am out. I will tell you have only been out about 4 times in the 4 years I was there. I am so happy to have found another job. The employee that are still there are very good people they just have a very bad boss named Angie Smith and Tricia Toole. They name the name of Jesus but they can't do the right thing by people. She even sent employees on trainning out of state and couldn't give them the money that they needed to go on the trainning. Angie gets away with this stuff because it is so hard to find a job in this economy so you have to take her crazy stuff. I hope she get supplies for her Ga Prek because as of right now they don't have construction paper for children to work with.

I recently enrolled my children in Winston Academy at the beginning of the school year, one in pre-k and the other in the toddler room. I have to say that the first impression was just that an impression. I arive at the center around 4pm everyday to pick up my children and it seems so disorganized, secondly, the center is not the cleanest place, andthe administration/owner is RUDE! she seems to only speak to the parents who have "money" or seem well off which I as a working single mother find offensive. If you have to turn your nose up at me then I could imagine how my children are treated by them!!!!! I mostly just like to come pick up my kids and go without being harrased about coming to a fall festival, thanksgiving program, or christmas tree party...we are busy working individuals with families and do not have time to spend our saturdays with you!! The employees seem unhappy about it and I would to. I don't get a good vibe from the center and it seems like she is losing money which makes me wonder how are my children being provided for and feed healthy ,lunches and snacks! I am currently looking for another center to take my toddler to, my pre-k child loves his teachers and I would hate to take him out into a different environment. I would inform any parent considering Winston Academy that it is NOT a great place for children or employees from what i have heard!!

My daughter has been going to Winston Academy since she was 1 year old. She is almost 5 years old. She love Winston Academy. I feel comfortable leaving her in the care of all the staff there. She loves it! She talks about her teaching everyday about the things she learns from them. I believe the Staff at Winston Academy are terrific! Any concerns I have had have been addressed immediately and to my satisfaction. Keep up the good work!

I have two children who attend WA - and I've been a family member of WA for over 3 years now. I will not send my children anywhere else as long as I live in this area. The facility is always clean, the teachers truly love the children. I believe that Ms. Angie completely cares about her employees and does what she can to limit turnover and that makes a huge difference on our children. As for children and behaviorial problems-- this is a daycare/learning facility, I fully expect the occasional bite, pinch, hit, etc. My child(ren) give as they sometimes get. I don't get upset, I address it at home, as know it gets addressed at school. If I think it becomes a problem, I address it with the teacher, and if I think it is bigger, I talk to Miss Angie. Let me reiterate, I have talked to the owner (Angie) privately on a few issues, and if anything ever has been brought to her attention, it stopped there. Miss Tricia (aka Angie's right hand) rarely ever leaves the place!!! And the learning!! WOW! My kids have learned loads, I am sometimes amazed. I am so proud of them, and I know WA is directly involved. Bottom line, they make me feel like the believe my children are so loved, because they *are* so loved. Even when they've had a bad day. And every child will have a bad day (those of you out there who don't think your kid has one, come on!

When my son was born we had him enrolled in several different daycares other than Winston due to a relocation situation. He was bitten 20 times in one month. My son is now almost 4 & has been at Winston for 1 1/2 yrs. There have been 0 bites and there is structure! I LOVE IT!!! My son LOVES it and I now have a 2 yr old who has gone there since she was 3 mo old. Great hours, great teachers, I cannot tell you what we would have done without Mrs. Cheryl!!! LOVE HER!!! She is just what all 2 & 3 yr olds need. LOVING, but structured. Love all the teachers!!! Only constructive feedback I can give is more information on what my child needs to work on. However with that said....all I have to do is ask and they spend as much time as I want to discuss my child. Mrs. Cheryl has helped tremendously by provding us several suggestions on how to best deal with behavior situations. They have all worked!!!!

I continue to be impressed by Winston Academy. Everyone at this center truly cares for your child like their own. Children are taught important lessons each day and weekly bible verses. My daughter is excited to go to "school" each day and cannot get out of bed fast enough. The security at the center is top notch just like the playground equipment, the meals and the teachers. Ms. Cheryl is our teacher and she has been a God send for our daughter. West Georgia is very lucky to have such a top notch childcare center in our area so that our children can grow in a nurturing environment.

Winston seemed to be the best place to put my child. I never heard a bad comment, and when I went to register the personel was awesome. Months later when school started it quickly seemed that they were so unprepared for all the new parents and expected first time moms to know what to do. Most of the personel there can be friendly but the admin need a attitude adjustment. To other comments posted the security system is a joke anyone will let you in and they never ask for id's.

My child has been at winston academy for a year now and he loves it. We have seen some of the bullying mentioned earlier but i have noticed that it seems to be 1 or 2 kids. I also realize that it is daycare and they are 3 and 4 year olds. Ms. Cheryl is awesome and our kid loves her. She is great with the kids and does not tolerate the bad behavior. Overall a great place especially in this area.

That fabulous looking security system they have is great for looks....but don't be fooled it does not work. They need to pick a better time to take the trash out...besides during business hours...place smells horrible when you come to pick up your child.

We have been thrilled with the service(s) we have received from Winston Academy Childcare. The Owner is on-site and runs a tight ship operation implementing Christian values in the classrooms. The facility is extremely clean and offers a security access entrance with security cameras monitoring the classrooms. Winston Academy, offering a top of the line Christian private school Pre-K through 3rd grade, also provides transportation to and from the local schools and a before and after school program with excellent hours of operation. The front desk staff are very friendly, and the children love the teachers. The Director has gone over and above in meeting our needs, listens with an open-mind, and provides answers and solutions to any questions or recommendations we have. The Summer Camp is simply the best and offers tons of activities keeping the children both active and entertained. With our work schedules, our children spend very long days at childcare, and for our peace of mind, it is imperative that they attend the best.

I have my 2 toddlers at Winston. Pros: The asthestics - the building and classrooms are bright, colorful, large windows in each classroom facing the hallway, cameras in the class and securtiy access door The teachers are wonderful - my kids love their teachers. They've done a great job teaching my children the basics- numbers, colors, alphabet and words. Cons - They can improve communnication with parents about their specific childs learning either through email or letter or meeting. As far as the bully thing - they are toddlers, people. I was only told about 1 or 2 incidents and they handled it (I guess time-outs and limited play time) My kids haven't complained about anyone bullying since. It's been months. Overall I really like Winston and my kids love the entire staff.

I was referred to Winston Academy by a fellow teacher at Winston elementary, and I LOVE IT! My daughter is in the Pre-k program and she enjoys going to school everyday to her teachers, and she comes home talking about Mrs.Maranda everynight. It's very comforting to know that your child is learning and having a great time doing it. Thanks Mrs.Maranda!!
