Took Marshall JCM 900 in for a persitent hum. Left it there a week. Got tired of the pony-tailed dude giving me a hard time about calling and checking on the amp. Brought it home. Swapped out the first pre-amp tube. Problem solved. Idiots.

Dropped off three items from two different companies that I work for. One used a p.o. system, and while the lady in the back office said "no problem," the guy at the front desk was unable to process this much information. It was a disaster from start to finish from a customer service standpoint. When they finished one item, they called me twice a day to tell me to come and pick it up or go online and pay for it. I wanted to wait until all three items were complete, and then pick them up and pay at once (I don't live nearby). They were unable to do this. At this point, I am STILL waiting for a part to come in so that I can get my order completed. The final work may be good, but getting there is a nightmare of frustration!

I have worked with Wizard several times, they do excellent technical work - BUT - the customer service has never been good for me. Most recently they took my deposit, didn't call for two weeks, did work that I didn't ask for without ever calling with an estimate, then chastised me for not being grateful for their service. When the work is done they put you on an irritating auto-call every day to move your stuff out quickly. I think the wizard has grown arrogant due to a near monopoly in this area.

Had a Fender tube amp repaired. The end results were good, but the process getting there was spotty. The receptionist handling initial equipment check-in was not very helpful, and a relatively easy repair took 2 weeks, which was longer than I would have preferred. On the positive side, the repair techs were always very helpful and informative (spoke the same language), and their repair work was good. The amp sounds great now.

I had my bass amp repaired by Wizard Electronics. Although the wait (two weeks) was a little long, the workmanship was great. I haven't had any other issues with the amp, and it sounds much better than when it went in.
