The Z'Tejas Mexican Restaurants Story - In 1989, the first Z'Tejas was born in an old Victorian house on Austin's historic 6th Street. Taking flavors from Spanish and Mexican cuisines and combining them with inspirations from Arizona, Louisiana, California, New Mexico and Texas, Z'Tejas created a rich blend of flavors that we've come to celebrate as Southwestern cuisine.
In 1991, Z'Tejas opened their second location in Scottsdale, Arizona and today has 8 restaurants in the Southwest United.. States.
As Z'Tejas celebrates 25 years of flavor, we invite you to come experience our signature cornbread, award-winning margaritas, and any number of our fresh, flavorful, and innovative dishes.
ZTejas always pleases. The menu is extensive and the food and drinks are always delicious. Some are on the pricey side, but it is a special occasion kind of place. A great place to take out of town visitors or for a 1st date.

the restaurants semes to have some good things to offer but it's known for it's fish tacos. I was not impressed at all. Give me a taco or give me fish, this combination isn't for everyone.

But one of our faves. Stuffed pork tenderloin is really tasty and one of teh least expensive entrees on the menu. The steaks are all pretty good. For appetizers, try the dumplings. Dessert has to be the Ancho Fudge Pie. And weird as it sounds, the jalapeņo margaritas are amazing.
