The service is great, the spot is really cool, but ayayay, the food, ay Dios mio, it's really embarrassing to recognize this as a latin food. From the first chip you eat there you can taste overly burnt oil, chicken as dry as rubber and soup totally tasteless. Salsa was good and the guacamole too, but I don't think anyone is going to live out of it. For sure guys you can go and waste your money as I did after someone else told me not to go there for food. Anyway, if you really want mexican food there's plenty of better places and by better I even mean Taco Bell. At the end I left almost the whole dish and my friend too, nevertheless the server didn't care in ask if the food was wrong. Well some experience to never go back there, at least not for food. Maybe beer.

Great place for snacks and margaritas. The staff is generally very good, very fast, and they are dog friendly. The guacamole is made fresh, and might be the best I've had. It's good. They also sell their own salsas for take home, and they are excellent. Word of warning, watch out for the margaritas. We get the frozen, and while they taste good, they don't indicate how strong they are to the tongue. And 2 in, you will be feelin' it.

Because it's down the street from one of the best brunch places in Atlanta, Zocalo doesn't come to mind when you think of brunch. Try it and it might surprise you. It's very innovative, and, of course, delicious!

I could have made a meal of the guacamole alone - well, maybe the guacamole and a couple Margueritas! All our food was quite good, but they were the best.

They have awesome margaritas and guacamole and more authentic Mexican than you would find at the more typical restaurants. Service varies depending on how busy they are. They are kind of pricey too (especially their margaritas).

This is authentic Mexican so the menu you is a bit unusual. However, we found the food to be very good. Excellent (and super strong) Margaritas. I also recommend the fresh guacomole. They make it right in front of you. Its nice to sit outside on a Summer day!

They failed to bring the side dishes on the menu that were included with the meal unless you remember to ask. They will not remind you. If you like to be ripped off at lunch, go there.

The Margaritas are the best in the ATL. Pollo con Mole is quite good. Other options are somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes great and sometimes no so great. Overall it is worth going as we do often. It is a little above average food. Some of the waitstaff could be friendlier. The building is unusual (I think it used to be a gas station in a former life) which adds to its charm.

Zocalo is great for authentic Mexican dinners and margaritas, but it is always amazing to see how quiet the lunch hour is there. The lunch menu is diverse and inexpensive, and the food is always fresh and delicious.

try this holiday dish in the fall if it is available - pricy but good! UPDATE: Unfortunately, the quality of this dish has slipped from previous years. Hopefully that was an anomoly.

nice atmosphere and really good food. don't expect authenticity, but do expect very good food :) service was pretty efficient and friendly. they are sorta busy, but seem to manage the masses well. Our orders were perfectly prepared and everything was timely.

This one gets extra points for the tequilla selection and open air dining. The food, service and prices are all decent. Be prepared to wait during peak hours.
