I have never been a fan of Mexican food but I have become a lover of El Torito Grill's fresh warm tortillas and table-side service guacamole. I have had the champagne buffet brunch on Sunday, eaten here for lunch, HH and dinner, and my conclusion is that the best thing is the tortillas and the guac! The salsa w/ the tortilla is not bad either. FOOD (A few other comments): - the steak fajita is way over cooked...and I think it's a bit too oily for my taste. - Tamales - NOT a fan. Maybe I like the more traditional tamales but I tried the chicken tamale today in the combo and was NOT impressed at all. In fact, it tasted overly "saucy" and did not have that sweetness from the corn. - Chile Rellano - am I spelling this correctly? haa ha haa. I love this, but I remember the BEST one I had was actually in a little place called Chino Bandido in Phoenix AZ, which is a Mex-Chinese restaurant. It's awesome. - Salads...the salads are BIG BIG BIG and I can never finish them. They have a lot of "stuff" in them, but honestly, I am NOT a fan of black beans in my salad. For some reason, it just seems like a weird thing to me. Plus, I always have to ask for dressing on the side, since "light dressing" is still too much...and I feel like my poor lettuce is swimming in dressing. - Grilled Mesquite Chicken Breast - the chicken isn't too dry, like some of the other chicken breast dishes, so that's a thubs up.
