I have been seeing Dr. Tasman for the last five years and I am really happy with him. Dr. Tasman is courteous and professional. He takes the time to answer your questions and explains things clearly. Some of the staff who have been there a long time are great, but there's at least one on Dr. Tasman's staff who really doesn't seem to know what's going on. That employee showed poor patient follow-up and I had questions unanswered/phone calls unreturned from my last visit.

So here's why I think you're getting such a disparity in reviews. The administrative ladies up front are grouchy and pushy! They make you not want to come back. So obviously there's a STAFF MORALE PROBLEM at the front desk. However, Dr. Zutaut is quite qualified and very nice and I drive a long way to see her. She is highly recommended! So clearly some people like their doctor but not the staff so much.

I have been wearing glasses since i was in ninth grade. I have also been in contacts. You can get a contact lens exam at the time of a contact lens fitting, but thats but thats not always the case. The Dr has to do a fitting exam on every patient who gets contacts. Ive been to this office 3 times and every time I go they are extremely nice. They treat me like im part of the family. GREAT PLACE

I have had glasses since I was 18 months old, & have had multiple surgeries to boot. I am 27 & have NEVER experienced a more rude, pushy doctor or contact/glasses staff in my entire life. Dr. Tasman's contact lens professional (a woman who will remain nameless) was so unbelievably condescending to me I have vowed not to go back. First of all, in all of my years and years of going to the eye doctor (& keep in mind I see a separate eye surgeon twice a year as well), I have always had them fit me for glasses and contacts during the same appointment. Well, not at this place. I went in & the appointment appeared to go as normal, and then when I called the office back a few months later to put in an order for more contact lenses they refused me, saying that I would have to take another sick day off work to come in for a separate contact lens fitting. When I tried to explain that I had already been in just a few months earlier & had already had the fitting, they were SO RUDE. I wasn't even that upset at first, but as they continued to deny me my contact lens prescription, I (understandably) began to get upset. Instead of being polite and rectifying the problem they told me to "calm down if I wanted my contacts at all"...what the heck - were they going to hold them hostage or something? I won't bore you with the rest of the details, but suffice it to say they had me COME IN 4 TIMES in all to get my stinkin' contacts...and you bet they charged me for every visit! I will never return.

I have been going to Dr. Tasman for over 13 years, and I have always had great service. He has taken care of my wife and 4 kids also, and he is always personable, thorough, and he does what his clients want, as much as is professionally advisable.

Dr. Hobson is a terrible eye doctor. VERY RUDE. I felt like a number there. I asked to set my prescription a certain way for reading computer monitors and he said no he will not do it. I pressed him on it saying I am the patient and this is what I wanted, and he had the nerve to kick me out of his office and tell his nurse that he "Can't work with this guy". I will NEVER go back.
