Hired Curtis Kittrell Revelation Home Service on 7/08 to cut down trees, clear the yard & install a privacy fence. Curtis promised the work would be finished in 2 weeks. Didn't happen. We had about a week of rain so that delayed it. September came and he still hadn't finished. There was always an excuse as to why he was behind schedule, mostly personal. Some days he never showed up at all. I told him I wanted it finished by Labor Day and he said "Oh no problem". Didn't happen. Every time I questioned his schedule, he gave me an excuse & asked me to be patient. July to October is patience. Frustrated, I asked him to just clean up the pile of debris that he'd accumulated and I'll decide what happens next. It took him 10 days! He cut down a tree and it fell on my neighbors tool shed. As of today, he's not repaired it. Now frustrated even more by the inconvenience and lack of professionalism, I asked for half of my deposit back. He agreed but I've not recieved my deposit, he won't return my calls, emails or text messages. He won't come pick up his trailer that's been sitting in my back yard for 4 weeks now still full of logs! Last week I made a final request asking him to remove it so I can move forward but even those calls & emails have gone unanswered. He asked for communication, patience & flexibility all of which I've given. Now I can't get a return call? I'm taking him to court.

Mr. Kittrell from Revelation Home Services was hired to replace and install new faucets in my bathrooms. Mr. Kittrell showed up at the agreed upon time and completed the installation. Revelation also did a great job cleaning my carpets, and providing some needed yard work.He also installed sturdy shelving in the garage and I was pleased with the work.

We live in Waters Edge S/D in Dekalb County . Due to living near the lake, our home had sustained extensive wood damage because of exposure to moisture and the elements. Our huge two story bay window was literally coming apart in our hands. Because of the design of the window, it required some detailed carpentry. We received several estimates which were more than we could afford. Curtis came out and gave us an estimate that was affordable for us and was willing to work within our budget. After agreeing on pricing, Curtis also agreed to work with us to help us to complete some of the repairs needed to obtain approval for the refinancing we were doing to get this work done. He basically performed the work before being paid. The work done included replacing 6 large windows and trim for our bay windows, replacing basically all of the trim and under pinning on our home, the siding on our chimney, and gutter and down spout repair and replacement. We also had our entire home painted, including trim. This included stripping and repainting our front door. Curtis also repaired our brick front stoop and steps and cut back two large trees on each corner of our home. All the work was done at the agreed price and timely. We were very pleased with Revelation Home Services and have already recommended them to our neighbors.

We hired Mr. Kittrell to do drywall work in two rooms and to build some shelves. He had a poorly skilled "helper" do all the work, and when we complained about the job, promised that it would be fixed. He has repeatedly not returned phone calls, and has not shown up when he said he would. We will be taking him to small claims court to get some of our money back. He did not finish the job, is unreliable, and does not keep his word. We would not recommend this company to anyone.

Basically what this homeowner has stated is true. I was actually hired to correct some drywall work that had been done by another contractor. While the work done by my worker was not up to our usual standards, (1st and last time using the person), it was partly attributable to the prior work done. The homeowner and I did agree to corrective measures. Due to being called away out of town for an extended period of time, to do repairs on the homes of elderly relatives in rural Alabama, this was not able to be done on a timely basis. I will be working with the homeowner to rectify the problem.
I called Revelation Home Services to fix/change door locks and provide me with a quote for a door frame. I used the company before and was pleased with the service that's why I called for this project. I thoroughly explained to Mr. Kittrell of Revelation Home Services what needed to be done in regards to changing out the locks before he arrived at my home. He was unable to finish the project because he didn't have the proper tools. I paid Mr. Kittrell the full amount in good faith to finish the job in a few days when he said he would return. Mr. Kittrell cancelled/rescheduled 3 times and the last time he didn't call or show. I'm glad that I have found out the Mr. Kittrell is non-trustworthy before I hired him for a bigger project. Please be careful if you use this company.

The homeowner called me in the evening after a break in at her home. Because of the situation and security concerns and the homeowner being a prior customer, I agreed to come out and secure the property. The home owner has stated in the review that I was given enough detail to know what was required before I arrived. This is not true. When I received the homeowners call, I was actually on another job. The homeowner was understandably upset due to the break-in. So the conversation was not a detailed conversation concerning the work to be done. Once the homeowner and I both agreed that her home was secure, we agreed upon a time for me to return and complete the installation of the final deadbolt lock. The homeowner could not be available during daily working hours. I was willing to work with the homeowner on a call me when she is available basis. Each time the home owner called was in the evenings. The 1st call was a few days later and the weather was not conducive. The second call again was in the evening and I was caring for a sick child as a part time single parent. Each time the homeowner and I spoke we seemed to be in agreement about the situation. I even provided the homeowner with a free estimate to be presented to the insurance company. Before the homeowner and I could get back together, I need to go to rural Alabama where the homes of my two elderly aunts had been damaged by recent bad weather in the area. I had no phone service while there. When I returned the homeowner had decided to complete this review. I would like to say to anyone who decides to post a review to work with their contractor. Most are good honest hard working people and if given time and opportunity will honor commitments. Also consider this business is how we make our living and provide for our families. A and review can cause a damaged reputation which can hinder providing for our children. Bad behavior and poor work (relative) should not be tolerated. Communicate. Don't take food out of a child's mouth for something can be corrected. Especially in this case over a $60 invoice. Bed Blessed
Curtis at Revelation Home Services was willing to tackle a job that no one else would touch. We have a 20 ft hign stone chimney that needed cleaning and sealing. I called all the big names (Servicemaster, Stanley Steamer, and all sorts of stone and marble retailers). No one would touch it and I was getting desperate. I called Curtis expecting more of the same. He came out the same day, and sent an estimate via email withn 24 hrs. He came out and set up scaffolding and got right to work! He took care to protect all the furniture and carpet beneath. It was a two day job and he was really meticulous. The fireplace looks great, and I am delighted to have found Revelation! My wife and I both found Curtis to be respectful and courteous. I highly recommend his company!

The guys at Revelation Home Services are just wonderful. They installed hardward floors in 3 rooms of my house; they were courteous, professional, and most of all, they finished the job on time and at the price quoted. I have more work to be done and I will certainly use Revelation Home Services for all my home repair/remodeling needs.
