Our son has been at Briarcliff since he was 4 months old. He is just going to Kindergarten this fall. He has excelled and I would not send our second child anywhere else. They do a great job and have quality caregivers and programming. Thanks for helping us raise our son.

Management is terrible and the teachers are average. Some of the teachers are super amazing, but others not so much. There is a constant change of teachers without notification to parents, nor clear process of screening them. Management is unprofessional and unconsidered. The management and owner needs to learn how to convey information to parents, without taking controlling and insulting actions. Management and owner takes leave of 3 months at a time. Not a great environment for your kids.

We would like to respond to some salient points you've raised;
1) Constant change of teachers - This is actually not true. We recently had to hire more qualified teachers due to the new Georgia State rule requiring certain qualifications and experience for anyone working in Early childhood setting. This is the reason we changed the teachers in your child's class. I understand your child was attached to the two teachers who had to be relocated, but this need to change the teachers was communicated to parents via email. You received the email. The previous teachers still work in the center, just not as lead teachers.
2). Management is "unconsidered" - I'm sorry I don't understand what that means, so cannot respond to that.
3). Management and owner take leave of 3months at a time - Again Not True, Management and Owner are actually two separate entities. Management is always onsite weekdays 7am -6pm. Owner does take one summer vacation of 5weeks at the most. Not 3months.
Again, thank you very much for the years we had your daughter. She is a lovely child and we wish her nothing but the very best in all of her future endeavors.
As first time parents, we were nervous about putting our baby in childcare. Briarcliff Day Care has been the best! The staff are wonderful. We had to leave the center when we moved, but we love it so much that we factored the center into our homebuying search. I highly recommend Briarcliff Day care, and we will miss it terribly!

Thank you so much for the review Kate! We still miss your beautiful baby boy! Mrs Krishna says she's waiting for him to visit.
We love love love Briarcliff Daycare center. We love it so much that we drive an additional 30 minutes each way to take our son. The Center is clean, the people are awesome, and my son learns something new every day! He has blossomed here!

This daycare always has a great happy, warm & inviting atmosphere. I've always felt the staff are working there because childcare is what they genuinely want to do. The manager is fantastic & staff retention rates are extremely high. I personally have been transformed from an anxious parent who felt guilty about putting my daughter into daycare to one of the view that she is privileged to be at daycare as she's gaining so much socially and it has helped her develop in so many ways.

I would have to say they are the best daycare in town. I do not just call this a daycare but I call this a school! Jackson has been attending here for almost a year now. He was at home with me for the first year so finding a daycare was very difficult. We had a bad experience with a very reputable daycare before trying it here. We were so nervous but they were great! We know we can trust them! We have moved out of the area but we are willing to driving the extra 20-30 mins a day to drop him off and pick him up from there. It is too hard to find a good daycare that you can trust!

Some of the teachers are super amazing, but others not so much. However the people in charge are very rude and not very helpful. They are clearly only there for a paycheck and not the well being of the children. Favoritism is also displayed there without shame. As soon as I find another place, my kids are leaving ASAP.

As staff members of this wonderful day care center, we pride ourselves on learning from constructive criticism, be it given to us in private or on a public forum such as this. However, we find it difficult to understand why anyone would give this sort of review and we are inclined to think this cannot truly be one of our clients. This center has so many wonderful families who understand we work hard with parents to provide the best care we can to the children. So when someone comes on here to say we are "in it for the paycheck", it certainly calls into question their ability to think logically....everyone knows you do not work in child care for the big bucks....About 40% of the staff here hold a 4year Bachelors Degree and another 30% hold an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. which means most of us here actually studied to work with kids and, believe it or not, many of us could work elsewhere, but a lot of us CHOOSE to work here because we love it, many people would agree it is not the easiest job. There are so many child care centers in the area, and as a parent as soon as I determine my children's day care is lacking, I would remove them and place them in a place I think is a better center. If this so called "parent" feels the staff are in it for the paycheck and not interested in the welfare of the children, then it calls into question your parental judgement in still having your children attend the center? If this is indeed a review from a true client of ours, then apologies for taking this tone, but this review calls into question the character of hardworking people who do their best day in day out for the love of the kids and we cannot help but take it personally.
Our 2 children have been going to Briarcliff Daycare for nearly a year now and we cannot fault the care our children receive when there. They give us daily reports and all staff are reliable and very approachable. But most importantly both our children love going to Briarcliff Daycare and interacting with the other children. They are always doing different activities and constantly coming home with topical things that they have made. It really is a weight off your mind knowing that your children are safe and happy when you cannot be with them.

My daughter has been attending Briarcliff Daycare for 17 months. I cannot say enough how happy we all are with the care and support offered there. Going back to work as a first time mum is daunting enough. Knowing you've made the right choice in childcare for your child just makes this transition so much easier. Unlike other centers we visited, my daughter was immediately relaxed in the home from home environment. She is always happy to be there and is very well cared for. Her day is structured with activities and there are lots of toys and stimulus. She has grown in confidence, interacting with the other children and discovering new things. We love that we get to know, via her daily reports, what she has been doing each day. Briarcliff Daycare offers an excellent service and I would not hesitate in recommending them.

This daycare has to locations, one on Belle Isle Cir. and the other one of North Druid Hills Rd which is the one my kids are attending. My twins have been in this daycare for almost 2 months and since we are moving, we will have to change them to another daycare which makes us feel very sad. We had a horrible experience at another school in the area, so we visited some schools/daycare in the area and this was the one that we liked the most. Since they opened this location recently, so you won't see nasty carpets in their classrooms. My kids are in the 3-years old class and their teacher Miss Manjeline is very nice and sweet, also, the Director and her assistant are nice, too. Actually, all the staff who works there are nice people, they always receive me with a smile. One of my kids was fully potty trained when they started school but the other one was still having accidents, actually the bad experience we had at the other school was related to his toilet accidents, which also caused that he didn't want to use the potty outside our home, but here at Briarcliff Daycare he had just a couple of accidents and that's all, he gained confidence and also, he is now using the potty everywhere. I can't say he is 100% potty trained, but with their teacher's help and patience I can say now we are in the right track and I am very thankful for that. This is a great pleace for our kids to learn and play while we are working and I fully recommend it.

My child currently attends Briarcliff Day Care and has done for the past 3 years. Needless to say, my family loves this center and we think it is wonderful and that is why we have kept our precious daughter here all this time, when we could have moved her to the Clifton School which is closer to my office. It is a very homely center, with wonderful STAFF. Having read the last two reviews, may I dare say that you couldn't possibly have great teachers without having great management? In my experience as an employer and employee, you can't have great staff, without great management, that really would be an anomaly. My experience with Briarcliff Management is that their priority is the children in their care, this may rub some parents the wrong way sometimes, but I've never minded or thought it wrong. I actually prefer that they cater to the needs of my child and ensure her safety as she is the one who has to be there 8 hours a day, not me. Thanks Briarcliff Day Care for having provided my daughter with a safe, happy and warm learning environment for all these years.

Management is INCREDIBLY unprofessional, but the teachers are very nice. If your child hasn't been to daycare their whole life, this is not the place for you. They are very structured, but cannot handle children that need adjustment from home to a daycare situation. The teachers are great, but not worth dealing with the management or owners who desperately need to learn how to convey information to parents.

We are truly sorry you feel this way. As parents ourselves, we understand that for any parent, it would be extremely difficult to accept the information/ feedback given to you today regardless of how this was communicated. However, as per earlier conversation, these decisions sometimes have to be made, not only for the safety of your child, but also for the safety of all the other children that have being entrusted in our care. We always receive children who have never been to daycare before and we have to point out this was certainly not the issue here. We will try our very best to do better in the future in any way we can. That is always our goal. Thank you.
My daughter is 3 and has attended BCD ever since she was 9months. I can say she and I have enjoyed all her caregivers/teachers. I've not ran into one caregiver/teacher over the course of her her growth that wasn't caring and appeareding sincer in their passion for their job. On the other hand; owner/management is less than desirable.

My daughter began BDC at 12 weeks old. Being a new mother, I was extremely nervous about leaving my infant but it helped knowing two co-workers also had children at BDC. My daughter absolutely loved being at BDC and every day I dropped her off with a smile and every day I picked her up with a smile. Ms. Krishna and Ms. Brandy (infant room), and Ms. Shakia (1 yrs olds) were very hands on and loving with my daughter. Ms Ann, Director, & Ms. Rupa were also very caring. My daughter hit all of her mile stones early and BDC made sure to take the steps to move her from the infant room at 10 months, with my permission, in order for her to be where her skills matched the other children. I worked in the neighborhood, and would stop in occassionally at different times, different days unexpectedly and the children were always engaged and happy (for the most part ~ they are babies)or had a teacher consoling them. My daughters room had a children's sing & dance show come in once a week and they also offered dance classes for the older children. I had to pull my daughter out in Sept 2011 because we moved to Nashville and I was so sad to have her leave her friends and such wonderful caring teachers. They helped in making my first year of motherhood wonderful, and I will always be thankful to Ms. Ann and all of the teachers at BDC. ~Kami

My son has been attending Briarcliff Daycare for the past 2 years, I can't say enough good things about the center. My son is always happy when I drop him off and still happy to be there when I return to pick him up. I would definitely recommend this center to anyone looking for great child care.
