Gary and his company have painted the interior of my home. They were very neat and worked quickly. A year later I had a problem with my gutter coming off the house causing damaged soffit and fascia boards. They quickly fixed all my gutter problems and repaired my damaged boards for a very reasonable amount. (When I called several home repair contractors, I had no luck getting anyone to come out). I have had them pressure wash my house as well. This company has become one that I now call first. Gary is very helpful. The work is done well and at a reasonable price. My experiences with Better Homes Painting have always been positive.

We had major stucco work done in Sept 2012 and had Gary and his crew follow-up by painting the entire house. Overall his prices were reasonable and workmanship was outstanding. We did not stucco the entire house and had some hairline to small cracks that were to be covered with a special Sherlastic paint and primer from Sherwin Williams that were advertised for this purpose. When the job was done, some of these cracks were still visible and did not cover according to manufacturer's specifications. Gary contacted Sherwin Williams and came out with their rep. to inspect the cracks a week later. It was determined that the primer did not cover as advertised and Sherwin Williams supplied Gary with a special new primer to be re-applied to the cracks in question. Gary then sent his crew back out to apply primer and paint to all the cracks at his expense. This final application covered all the minor cracks as advertised by the manufacturer. We are very satisfied with all the work done by Gary and his crew and especially pleased with the fact that he followed up by making sure that the paint products performed as advertised and that we were satisfied with his work. We would highly recommend Better Homes for any painting projects.

I bought a promo and then added on some other rooms and they gave me extra time to pay for them but didn't do as good of a job on those rooms as the ones they originally came to paint. The owner only uses a land line and is hard to get a hold of. The owner didn't say there were other types of paint finishes that would be better suited for my situation, just asked me what I wanted and didn't say are you sure you want this it isn't very easy to clean...

The owner only returns calls about 10% of the time, even before he has the money. He only answers the phone 1% of the time. He sends subcontractors out to do the work. He doesn't express to them that he wants them to make sure the customer is satisfied, nor does he make sure they are thorough, nor does he tell them to check with the customer before they are done. Both subcontractors he sent have a trick where they put all their stuff up BEFORE checking with the homeowner. This is so you'll be reluctant to have them do touch-up work. So the first sub got mad because I had him unpack. I had to spend all day helping him move the big ladder because the owner sent him with no help. The second sub said he couldn't finish up and would come back. Then he tells the owner that he completed the job which was a straight out lie, but the owner still uses him on other jobs. The owner never returned to finish the job. The second sub also tried to upsell me on crap I didn't need. If he sends the slick-talking-25-year-old then just refuse to work with him. Both subs want to argue with you on all the work to be done because the owner obviously doesn't have control over his own help.

This customer only wanted part of his home painted. Every time I left the job he tried to bully the crews into doing work outside of the scope of the contract. Instead of replacing rotten siding, he wanted us to cut semi-circles out to fill the animal holes in his chimney. That would not work. I sent crews out three times on a job that should only have taken one day. Also he wanted us to use wood filler on rotten soffitt boards. When I told him this would not work he became angry. We had already exceeded the scope of the work when I refused to do more. We went well beyond the the $730.00 parameters of the job.
Gary and his paint crew are the best. Hard working professionals who come to work and get the job done in record time. The written estimate was spot on. No surprises. I'd recommend this business to anyone and everyone.Great Job!!!

Gary's team painted the entire interior of a home I had just purchased. They did a great job and were very professional. Gary is honest and geared toward making the customer happy. I would highly recommend Better Homes Painting Plus. Thanks! JT

When Gary takes on a project, he does it like he would his own. Goes far beyond what you would expect. He painted the exterior of my home. It is a very large home and I was 110% satisfied.

Better Homes Painting Plus painted most of the interior of our house and painted our garage, including epoxying and sealing the garage floor. The owner, Gary Griffin, is friendly, honest and reliable. He did everything he said he was going to do. We feel we received excellent service and value. The six-man crew that did the work was courteous, proficient and did a great job. You could tell that they took pride in their work and wanted to exceed our expectations. We are very satisfied with the entire experience and wholeheartedly recommend Better Homes Painting Plus.

This review will be no surprise to Gary at Better Homes. The cost is very high, the service up front was great, but went quickly downhill, and the quality I initially thought was great until I noticed several spots that were sloppy and a couple patches where the paint is peeling/gone less than 6 months later. Cost: I bought the great deal for trim painting through kudzu, foolishly, before measuring my windows. Learned that a $450 deal was actually going to cost me $1450 to use. $450 will cover very very little. I got a competing quote (without any deal), which only came in $100 over Gary's price with the deal (which was supposed to save $600) - from Painting Plus, a good company I've used before. Service: Gary is a good communicator - he never once answered the phone, but will always call back within a day. And he's a really nice guy, who I don't think is trying to do a bad job. I asked that he have someone fix several areas after they left - the company does have a 5 year warranty in theory - but that request was made in the end of November and a crew showed up in late February. That's a little ridiculous - the whole time I was hearing "maybe next week". Quality: The areas that were already in good shape look, well, great. The problem spots, which they were supposed to sand, scrape, prime and paint...well, some look like cottage cheese. I was told "well, that's how it's going to look". All in all I'm really not happy. I have a 5 year warranty that means nothing

Gary Griffin and his crew painted the entire exterior of our house last fall. They went above and beyond the original scope of work. We were so impressed with their attention to detail, that we hired them to paint the interior of our home as well...exceptional work...Call them NOW! You will not be disappointed. Best in Atlanta!!!!

Better Homes Painting Plus did a complete pressure wash, prep and paint job of our home during the fall of 2011. They were personable, professional & punctual throughout. To start, Gary's (owner) team did a great job of communicating and returning calls. Let us know when work would begin and was there when when stated. Jeremy was the full-time project lead and was onsite during the job, leading the team. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and worked with us on color selection as well as some recommendations. Both Gary & Jeremy did an outstanding job in communicating throughout. At no time did we feel there was a rush to finish and move to another job. Communication and quality was great throughout. They arrived when they stated they would and completed the job within the expected timeframe. They cleaned up behind themselves each day. When the project was complete, there was no mess left behind, just a freshly painted house. The entire team was outstanding throughout and the house looks GREAT!!! We are extremely pleased and highly recommend.

I have just had my house painted for the second time by Better Homes. I wouldn't have anybody else. Skilled team and extreme attention to detail. Best of all, I know I can count on them for flawless customer service after the job because they gave that to me the first time around as well. Gary Griffin and his team will not disappoint you. No surprises, fair pricing and dependable crew.

Full house exterior paint job, some minor siding repair, and some window trim repair. The crew did an excellent job, they were very polite, and they left no trace they were here. The house looks great. Gary is a pleasure to work with, and I would definitely recommend this company.

Better Homes Painting is a top-notch company. Their contracts are cystal clear...no surprises. Gary Gordon is as personable and up-front as they come. The painters are long-standing employees, so your home won't be used as a training facility. Their prices are on the high side, but so is their quality of service. In an industry that commonly struggles with quality, I will pay a bit more for peace of mind and the smile I have every time I look at my house and a job well done. Gary will tell you the price, how he arrived at the price, will show up as scheduled, finish as scheduled, and the job will look GREAT.
