I had 2 jobs in my house that needed to be scheduled around other job site activities. A difficult schedule was easily coordinated, on-time and the entire team supported the effort throughout. The worker's were courteous, precise and the job well done!

Small job- what could go wrong? Got one estimate in person, then the estimate in writing was somehow $100 more. Red flag #1, but we discussed the hourly rate and I figured it was fine: if the repair takes that long, it takes that long. Sent an email requesting an 'ok' before any work was done that would put us over the second (higher) estimate. So much for that idea. The actual worker was there for 6 hours total, a good hour of which was after everything was cleaned up and he was just sitting in his truck, waiting for time to pass. Even granting that, $120 + 5 x $80 = bill should have been $520. After his break, worker guy comes back inside and presents me with a $680 bill. Don't make my mistake. Find someone else.

We had a seperation of our steps on the upper landing of our Deck and we searched for Deck Repair and found Handy Hero. They hand someone available in the short time we needed it fixed. David from Handy Hero came out, arrived on time and fixed the deck with 3 strong lag bolts and our issue is resolved. Even though it has a 1 year warranty, I don't expect this to fail for years the way it was resolved. Thanks.

I was referred to Handy Hero and the experience was good. Andy Eckhardt arrived on time, performed a professional job and it was honest.Priced the job as agreed, without the tipical unreasonable increases in cost that some other companies try to do, and I know we all hate.
Andy replaced the PRV valve and Expansion tank to regulate the water pressure coming into the house.

I needed a challenging plumbing repair job so I requested alternative solutions based on pictures taken on corroded drainage. David offered a reasonable, minimally invasive unique solution. Arrived on time and prepared and fixed the problem for less than it was originally estimated. Excellent service.

Can't say enough positive things about David with Handy Hero. We needed double ovens and an over the range microwave replaced. David is extremely knowledgeable and we believe the only person who could successfully install our new double ovens. We incorrectly measured our cabinet space which left him 3" less to work with on the oven install. He was able to overcome our measuring errors and install our ovens. We could not be more pleased. He also had many tips to prolong the life of our appliances. We look forward to working with David and Handy Hero in the future.

Hired Handy Hero to do a couple of minor repairs (ceiling fan, cabinet drawer, toilet). David (the technician) arrived on time, completed the work in a satisfactory manner. Will use again in the future.

Handy Hero was hired by Eos Real Estate Management Group's Dawson Forest Apartments in Dawsonville, GA to diagnose a problem with our sound system. They sent a proposal for $100 for the assessment. When the subcontracted technicians arrived, they were about 10 minutes into their diagnosis before they realized they could not diagnose the problem without a working receiver. A representative of Dawson Forest purchased a new receiver from Radio Shack (5 minutes away). The technician also requested some speaker wire be purchased in case if was needed. When the representative from Dawson Forest returned 15 mins later, the new receiver was plugged in and sound system started working. The speaker wire was returned. The technicians went to prepare the paperwork in their van (where they sat eating for nearly an hour) and retuned with a work order and invoice for $500. Dawson Forest was told by Handy Hero that prior to any additional work being done outside of the original $100 proposal a new proposal would be sent for signature approval. This never happened. The technicians stated that this always happens with Handy Hero; they left with nothing signed. Handy Hero then proceeded to make unprofessional phone calls, unethical remarks, and vindictive statements to the business and its staff. The technicians worked for only 15 mins assessing the sound system and plugging in the receiver. No additional or modified proposal was sent and signed-off on. It was incredibly unprofessional.

This review is by a person by the name of Tyler Collum, also known as Joseph Tyler Collum who was in the employ of a company who hired our company to do work. When we ran into trouble with Tyler and his failure to pay us for work completed, we looked him up and found out that under his full name, Joseph Tyler, he has a criminal record. We informed his past employer and ever since Tyler has been smearing our company having written at least 12 poor reviews on us anywhere he can. While he is free to do so, you are also free to see the public records on Joseph Tyler and decide for yourself. Please note that EOS and Handy Hero are in good terms with one another and appreciate each other's business: http://www.calcoso.org/warrants/?l=Collum&f=Joseph&m=Tyler
(See Page 4)
Hired them for some carpentry and other miscellaneous work on house. Not willing to stand behind their work.

I am taking the time to list the facts as I believe the above statement from RFalfa is inaccurate and tainted. The facts are we were hired by this person's father (not the person who wrote this review) in August of 2013 to do exterior repairs including gutter and fascia repairs and to replace weather stripping on two doors that had drafts. Then in October 2014 we received a voicemail from the person who wrote this review basically implying we were hired to "weather proof" the door and we are now responsible for damaged flooring near the door and we were to come out and do all these repairs on warranty. Our company offers a 1 year warranty on labor and we stand by it. But our warranty covers the work that we were hired to perform, not something else. It was explained to this person in detail that if he'd like to hire us to "weather proof" the entry of concern that we would take the necessary actions to do it (replace the builder-grade door for a better quality one), possibly install a portico as the door of concern is directly exposed to the elements with no protection. He chose instead to be upset and write an inaccurate review. We have been in business for 10 years, are family owned and operated, have always stood by our work. We have thousands of customers who can attest to it. We are certainly not perfect, but we are honest. And that includes not allowing ourselves to be taken advantage of.
Had a 11-year old picture window (approx 2' x 4') with wood frame rotting. The room has 4 such windows, 2 on each side of the fireplace. Each pair is basically side-by-side - there's about 2" of trim separating them. They are set high up on the 2nd story of our family room (20' ceiling). Of 4 contractors, only Handy Hero took the time to use a ladder to climb up and assess the damage. Handy Hero was the only contractor who recommended sending the window out to have its frame rebuilt (7-10 business days) rather then replace both the bad window AND the adjacent window. The repair was done by David and was completed on time. The window looks like new again. The trim looks professionally finished as well. I'll definitely call Handy Hero for future jobs.

David of HandymanHero came to my rescue when I needed last minute help with a kitchen remodel project; he did such a great job with the kitchen project, that I called him to come back to my house to assist with other misc. items on my "to do" list. David is hard working, thorough, diligent and patient, as well as being a really nice guy! Highly recommend (and I am picky!).

We have now used Handy Hero twice and both times have been very pleased! Both technicians arrived on time and were very informative with what they were doing and our pricing options. We will definitley use handy hero again. Thanks!
