I had Home depot install windows. The care taken to ensure quality work was terrible and very frustrating. Being a disabled veteran and already dealing with insane pain and stress, this was really tough for me. The Home Depot used subcontractors to do the work. After having windows installed by the Home Depot I over heared the installer complain after I said something to the Head manager of Home Depot about making sure the windows were clean of glue from installation. The installer said that it was not his job to make sure the windows were clean of the glue. The windows cost me close to $13,000!! The installers were too sorry to clean the glue, I'm not able to get it cleaned so the manager from Home Depot came out about a week later to clean the windows. So the manager from Home Depot actually came out to clean the windows with Windex window cleaner. I had to follow him around my home to make sure he got the glue off. Needless to say, he was really upset about being there, and I had the feeling he was quite angry about doing the cleaning. Run don't walk from these guys. There are companies that will ensure better quality. No one deserves this!

We had Home Depot replace and existing sliding glass door (which is considered a window). We thought it would be a simple job. We were told all work was custom made, and their quote would be the final price. I was a little disturbed that for how much we were spending on this project, we were never given a clear picture of what we were buying. All the pamphlets were geared toward windows, not sliding doors. A month went by, more measurements made and then we were told "oh, this will have to be a custom door, so your price will go up $600." ?? Desperate to just get the work done by now, we agreed. Another month later workmen came and there was continued confusion about measurements, etc. In the end the process was long, drawn out, and didn't leave us with a lot of confidence in the job. A lifetime warranty was verbally given, but we never received any certificate in writing. I realize our case may have been a series of unfortunate events--that they acknowledged & apologized for, but they did not offer any compensation for our troubles to restore consumer confidence & loyalty. We will not be looking to Home Depot for future window replacements.

The installers and sales rep made every effort to make our experience a success...happy with our purchase, however, I still have as much dusting to do as I did before...thought the new windows would cut down on dust.

The experience was excellent - I went back for a second set. They listened did what we wanted without a problem. They left the place without a mess too. I'll go back to them for additional work.

I am not satisfied at all with the quality of the windows. The installers were great but the patio door and windows are not at all what I expected for the price I paid.
