Went here to see a bunch of different musicals. Workers are very friendly there and the theater itself is pretty huge with a beautiful ceiling inside and fairly good sized stage.
Very nice theater. Fairly recently remodeled and always clean. Seats are comfy and screens are good-size. The people are friendly - they even gave my 10 year old a free movie pass when she lost money in the claw game in the lobby and they couldn't get it to work. Overall - a class act!
The Castro theater is one of a kind in the city! I can't remember a more special place to go and see the classics on the big screen or to go to a special event like the International Film Festival every year. It is one of the last single screen houses left in San Francisco.
Hard to find...
landmark is one the best for hard to find foreign films and art flicks. the price is right, and the staff is pretty good too.
