Don't buy before visiting Artistic Piano
I bought a wonderful Charles Walter baby grand from Art in 2004 when his store was located in Encinitas. He was a pleasure to deal with, he gave me a good deal, and I would be happy to buy from him again. I've visited him at his current San Marcos location, and he seems to have a great selection of new and used pianos, and some digital models as well. I recommend that you visit Art at Artistic Pianos before buying. Another reviewer said a salesperson there was rude. I doubt that was Art, more likely it was a salesperson no longer there, as Art now handles most sales himself. This means the store hours are shorter than some other piano stores, but don't let that keep you from visiting....
It's simply the store that you should choose to do business with. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they give quick responses to all my questions. The price is definitely reasonable with their good recommendation of products. I'll suggest all musicians to browse their website before moving on to others. I'll be their return customer.
Come Here First
This place is awesome. Every time I come in, it's like being at Disneyland. The walls are covered in really interesting, one-of-a-kind guitars, as well as the expected collection of Fenders, Gibsons, and what not. Good string deals, knowledgeable sales dudes, and owners that are actually walking around the sales floor, willing to talk to people. This place may seem small, but they cram a lot of epic gear into every nook and cranny they can. Been going here for years, and will never turn to the Dark Side(Guitar Center) again. If these guys don't have it, the guitar either sucks, or they can order it for you. #1 Spot in SD
