The Edison is an original
This is one of the coolest bars in LA. It's an old power generating station and the bar is in the basement where the old boilers were. It looks like a set from Batman with a Gotham City art deco feel. It's an eclectic crowd with professionals from the financial district and tourists and some interesting locals.
New Party Place
Last weekend my friends and I were thinking of going out. One of them suggested we get a drink and have some fun at a new place. Another proposed we go to LA Grand Club. He said he heard about it as the new hip place to go. When we got there the ambiance was indeed great very relaxing. We had some drinks and had a blast. We even got to meet new people. It looks like we will be going back to LA Grand Club the next time we want to have fun. We have found an awesome and new hangout.
My friend wanted lasagna, and though I had not been there in years, I suggested Spaghetti Eddies. We shared an appetizer plate, and my friend had the chicken lasagna, I got an Italian soda and steamed veggies. Everything on the appetizer plate was delicious but especially impressive were the garlic puffs. My steamed veggies were perfect, and my friend raved about the lasagna. We both took home leftovers and the entire bill was less than $30. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. I think I'd go there everyday if I could afford it.
My personal favorites: BOTTOMLESS FRIES, Fish and Chips, Sauteed Shroom Burger and Peach Ice Tea. Salads are pretty good, but don't kid yourself... It's all about the BURGERS & FRIES at the place. Service is great. They always refill your drink without having to ask. Are willing to grab extra ranch of whatever additional condiments you need for your meal. They are quick and it's a great place for big groups.
Came here with my friends on a Saturday night and to my suprise I had a really great time. We ended up buying a bottle for a very reasonable price.
