Great Experience with a PPI on a used Porsche
After seeing a few suggestions for German Car Repair, in Apharetta, I wound up using them to PPI a '99 C2 Cab that I was interested in. I flew down for the PPI yesterday am. I had a great experience with Alan Kidson (owner) and Jerry Weiden (their Porsche Master Mechanic). Beautiful shop, friendly, accommodating service. They worked with the seller to schedule the work (the seller sent it in by towtruck) and agreed to hold it in the shop over the weekend for pickup Monday. Unfortunately, the PPI ended almost as soon as it began, with a number of issues identified right off the bat. Before going any further, Alan and Jerry brought me out to discuss the issues, their required or...
I heard of this place by referral from some other body shop that doesn't do upholstery, and I was not disappointed! The two gentlemen (father and son) who run the shop were very cooperative, even after the convertible roof I'd bought arrived with broken glass and we had to wait for a replacement to be shipped. The new installation looks FANTASTIC, and I think they may have done some extra work to reinforce and protect parts of the new roof so they don't rip in the same place as the old one did. They had a bunch of older cars in the shop, including a 1950s second-gen Ford F-100 and an old MG. There were also some newer convertibles, including a Honda S2000 (which is what I was having...
Really like these guys, miss my E55
When you purchase a second-hand Mercedes, you know it's probably going to cost a lot to maintain. When you purchase an out of warranty E55 AMG, you have to make room in your budget for repairs and maintenance. Forget taking it to a Mercedes dealer. You will pay out the nose for even the simplest repair. And if the repair is major... This is where Lauck comes in. They know Mercedes vehicles and they are excellent at what they do. I had several repairs performed on my E55 while I owned it and I always trusted that Lauck diagnosed the problem correctly and charged me fairly for the repair (which included an Airmatic strut replacement and scheduled maintenance). You can't say that...
Good repair on a flat
I caught a nail in a tread. Discount Tire repaired it well and quickly (45 minutes without an appointment) then did not charge me anything (even after I recommended they should). They indicate that it is their way of building customer loyalty.
Honest Car Repair
The service was above and beyond- friendly, honest, reliable. I would recommend this shop to anyone.
