I had a "dead in the water" Macbook Pro given to me as the owner felt it was not worth fixing. He had been told elsewhere the MLB (main logic board = motherboard in PC terms) was bad. I played with it for a while but finally looked up an Apple Authorized repair shop. I found Daystar and asked them to diagnose it for me. They determined it was the hard drive rather than the MLB. They applied the diagnostic fee to the cost of the repair - all quite normal computer repair protocol/practice. I was/am VERY happy with their service and have recommended them to many other people. I will go back to Daystar Technologies without hesitation.
