We called Centurylink to have internet installed. Tech was supposed to show up on a Friday, between noon and five. So my husband and I took the afternoon off. I started calling CL at 4:15, just checking to see that the guy was on schedule and everything was still set. They assured me that he would be at the house by 5 and gone no later than 6. Called at 4:30. They told me he was still on track. Called at 5. They told me they had just spoken to him and he was in route to my house as we spoke. And that was the first big lie they told me.
