Great Place, Great Staff
After many stops and starts in my fitness regime, I knew I needed something different. I found that at GISFW. The owner is a great inspiration, being a client herself; and the trainers are friendly, dedicated, and motivated in getting results. Being an all-women fitness center,the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly, and the studio is well-equipped and comfortable. I like that I am held accountable for my weight loss and fitness,and that there is plenty of support in helping me achieve my goals.
My First Choice
I started working with Fitzroy back in August of 2007 and did so through February of 2009. He helped me enjoy the tri-weekly workouts, pushing me enough where I improved each week, without pushing me to not enjoy the workouts. He directed me to what best suited my needs and limitations. And what I liked most of all, he had alternative solutions for whenever I sustained an injury through playing sports or where having difficulty. I've taken Pilates at other studio's in R.I. before experiencing Pilates with Susan Anthony, not only is she well informed with the method she teaches (Authenic), Susan also has a strong understanding of the body. While training with Jaylin, her unfailing effervescence and joy infused every session. Her enthusiasm didnt mask the fact that, week by week, she was taking me through a carefully planned, personalized program, working the different muscle groups with ever increasing demands. I always left the sessions with a smile on my face and a lift to my stride! In a matter of months, I lost ten pounds and gained increased flexibility and strength. For the first time in years, I am eager to schedule various day hikes in The White Mountains and the Berkshires.
