Movie theatre in the Museum of Natural History
Did you know there's a nice IMAX theatre inside the Museum of Natural History on the mall in DC? It is great! Not only do they feature short movies, like 45 minutes, during the day, some in 3D, on cool topics, like Amazon rainforests, the Galapagos, coral reefs, and tornadoes, they also show movies like Mission Impossible and Dark Shadows at night. Mission Impossible was in 3D; I don't know about Dark Shadows. After the museum closes, the theatre is open. It is a great theatre, clean, with good seats, a huge screen, and even beer at the concession stand. Another good thing is that the schedule is seasonal, so it stays the same for months. You can keep it in mind and jump over there when...
Great theater though.
This theater is very clean compared to any theatres just inside the belt way. The only down side is the many groups of kids that get very loud and rowdy inside and outside the theater. For this area, kids acting like that seems to be an acceptable standard.
This is a great theater
This theater shows a lot of Indie films which I love. It;s a really big theater and they run a lot of popular movies. You can also buy beer and wine to take into the theater with you, which I have never seen before. I have been there a few times, it's great.
A night out at the movies
Not a bad theater not the best in the area by far, but it is close to 395, and not far from Washington. A decent place to go catch a movie when you want to avoid the crowd of some of the larger more popular theaters
Movies old skool
This an old movie theater and I like to go to see movies here because it reminds me of going to movies as a kid with my dad. The staff is laid back and friendly
