Heroes on the Water
I would like to say a big thank you to Bill and the fine folks at Hi Lite Cruz in Diner. They gladly stepped up and helped out by providing a first class bbq at our two Hereos on the Water events this summer in Battle Creek and Ann Arbor. Heroes on the Water is a non-profit organization run by volunteers that takes wound veterans out for a day of kayak fishing at no cost. These events allow the veteran a days to decompress, relax and forget about the rigors of therapy all while learning new life skills. Without the support of places like Hi Lite Cruz we would not be able to provide this level of service to these men and women who gave so much. Doug Gartley Heroes on the Water
