Went today to this zoo and was pleasantly surprise
Went today to this zoo and was pleasantly surprised, there was plenty to see and not a huge area that left us tired. It is a great half day trip that allowed us to have a late lunch around 2pm. Although we missed the penguin feeding, we did see the sea lion feeding/ enrichment which was terrific
They had an interesting exhibit on the history of something the last time I was there. Learned some interesting facts, I love that everything is laid out in an open and frank way, while also having fun with the subject.

Nicest, most knowledgable guy in the business
Pete is the fourth aquarium service guy i've used and I have say he's really the best you can get. Having used several companies before, I know there is a difference when the owner actually shows up on every visit. He makes sure everything is perfect and does not skimp on anything. Other service companies send kids who just learned to do basic water changes but don't know how to solve real problems or even see the problem. Pete catches things no one sees. Since he has been here, I haven't had anything dies in over 2 years now. I used to never trust anyone in the house alone, but with Peter, I gave him the keys. I know I will never have to clean up after him because everything is left...
Great programs and funky art
Socrates runs great programs for the community. From free movies on Wednesday in the summer to kids' arts programs to the Farmers Market that's in its second successful season, there's something for everyone. The sculpture exhibits are funky, fun and change fairly often. A true neighborhood resource.
