Not your average bear
Epic Adventures is for mature kids & teens who are looking to really push themselves and achieve some worthwhile goals. This camp is for the nature oriented or outdoorsy kid who''s always wanting to hike more, be outside longer, explore. It's very unique, I couldn't find anything else in Texas like this. Our grandson, 15, had been to other camps & wanted a longer trip and more rugged things to do. So on this trip, they hiked 21 miles up and down in the Ozark mountains, camping along the way, and then kayaked 40 miles down the Buffalo River. Did he love it? Yes, he did! My 10 year old son loved it....!
The camp may not be stellar, but it is good to vey good IMO. My (very picky and articulate) son had a great time, the staff seemed responsive every time I talked to them. Most importantly the counselors seemed supportive and genuinely interested in the campers experience.
Great family gym
I love the Y ..... it's a nice, clean family gym. Weight machines are a little dated and the weight room is small so it can get pretty crowded. The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. The price is definitely right!
