Spray on Foam Insulationm
I had my attic roof deck insulated with spray on foam. CLS removed all of the blown in cellulose insulation (dreadful stuff, which I discovered grows mold spores, which I am very allergic to)and did a very neat foaming job. My attic is now sealed tight an is staying about 5 degrees of my downstairs room temperature. My attic is now like a room. Thanks CLS.
You better believe Mills did work. I dig their site too. www.millsquote.com My light bill is close to half of what it was before.
Making the attic efficient was money well-spent
I had the radiant barrier, insulation and ventilation installed in March and I know I saw savings all summer because my AC unit didn't turn on as much. Even when I turned the thermostat up when I left for work the temperature barely reached that high, so I could be certain the AC never turned on all day. They also put proper ventilation in my home and I notice a huge difference - I can walk into my attic and feel how much cooler it is. This is a great system and definitely worth the money.
a sealed attic
We have done a major remodel to our home and in doing so, we wanted to create a sealed attic system. To do this, you need to use expandable foam insulation. I had several bids, all very high and then my AC contractor suggested NICK ZINDEL, owner of Canopy Insulation...awesome guy! They did an amazing job, very flexible with our time line and priced lower than my other bids.
