When I come to Richmond I always try to come back to the Westhampton Pastry Shop. When I lived in Richmond for 5 years I came here at least once a week. They have a good reputation and they have been in business for many years. All items they bake are delicious.
Williams Bakery is a small, family owned bakery in Mechanicsville. The service there is friendly and the baked goods are fresh. They offer pies, breads, cookies, and cakes.
wonderful French bakery
Jean-Jacques Bakery offers its customers a taste of France in all of its freshly made products including French pastries, croissants, breads, cakes and cookies. They have been in business for a few years because when my dear friend moved to the Richmond area she found this and this was the first place she ever took me when I originally came to visit. We go back there each trip when I come up now to see her.
Cobblestone Bakery Cafe not only offers an assortment of pastries and cakes, but they have boxed lunches too. This is yet another bakery my friend and I visit when I come to stay for a week. I love my breads and sweets so we try a lot of bakeries usually. *BG*

Sally Bell's Kitchen bakes on the premises all manner of Southern breads, pies, and cakes. They still use the old white cardboard boxes, tied with butcher's string.
