My new favorite place for vision care
Extremely competent and caring staff, from the top on down. Dr. Heitmeyer gave me his email address and told me to ask him questions anytime. I have, and he generally responds in under an hour. Unbelievable. The opticians are great, too, seeming to enjoy their jobs and really working with you to find something you like that is appropriate for you. A great find in my book.
Best place to go if you don't have insurance
Costco may not have the greatest selection, but their prices on their lenses are about half of what retail stores sell for (Haven't been able to do the same comparison on frames, but I'm sure they are considerably less as well). I bought a pair of frames from a local optician and had Costco make the lenses. The frames turned out to be really uncomfortable to the point of being unwearable. Costco took the lenses back, and gave me a full refund. I would have gladly paid a restocking fee. The local shop where I bought the frames is currently stonewalling me, refusing to even give me a store credit. Costco has the best service around. Wish I'd bought the frames from them as well.
